Hi, i am getting mixxed comments about traveling with a green card. is it true that if you travel out of the U.S., that you will NOT be qualified EVER when you get back to the U.S. to become a U.S. Citizen? thanks in advance everyone! :D:yes:

As long as you keep your green card, you will be able to become a citizen (take a look at the N-400 form and material on the USCIS website, it spells out the requirements for citizenship). Prolonged trips (i.e. >6 months) outside the United States can be interpreted as abandonment of permenant residence and thus can result in loss of your greencard, this is typically determined by the inspection officer at the port of entry.

There is a re-entry permit that i think let's you stay out of the country 1-2 years continously.
