Apostile for documents?

My wife seems to think maybe she needs to get apostille stamps for her Russian documents. I'm thinking she does not need the apostille (except for the marriage certificate). Who's right?

She doesn't need apostilles on any documents she may have nor for the translations. A lot of times people who translate these documents try to convince customers of getting them apostilled but it's only to get them to pay more.

The U.S. embassy doesn't require those, even though under the Hague convention they are entitled (but not required) to demand them.

However, if she knows where to go and how to get apostilles from the Russian government, I would like to know the answer to that in private mail.

I e-mailed to US embassy in Kiev asking if I need to apostile Police certificate they said I don't haveto do that,

I didn't have any document with apostie when I was at the interview
