After waiting 3 months since our interview on November 15, my lawyer sent a letter to the supervisor in Newark, NJ. Two weeks after the letter I have an interview scheduled for April 15th.

I know lots of people have congressman/senators make an inquiry but if your lawyer can also get your case moving.

The interview notice says nothing about being video taped, we're expecting a stokes interview since it's our 2nd. So this time we're bringing our lawyer (I've been saving money for this) so that after we answer everything correct again, they can't just say "I don't like the age difference".

I am glad that your lawyer is doing this for you. How annoying to need a second interview!! Did they tell you why you need a second one? It would be nice if they just let you have one so that you didn't have to spend more money. USCIS costs are big already.

Yes, because of our age difference. The guy said we did well, you're great people but I have a problem with the age difference.

Well, I've been saving for the cost... had we not received the interview letter within this time period then I'd have to shell out even more money to renew EAD, get another medical and then pay the lawyer when it got to be time for the 2nd interview.

My lawyer met with me after the interview for over an hour and didn't charge me. He also didn't charge me for writing the letter. He will charge us to go to the interview though.
