Rim down. Don't know why. My mother puts them rim up so they are easy to get in and out. For some reason I put them rim down. Strange.

I had to think about that for a moment...

I put them rim down... Something I have always done due to working in bars occasionally maybe? Who knows.

My Mum always puts them rim up too! She thinks they look better that way... She has to have everything looking perfect. And I mean everything...

Rim up because I keep forgetting to buy the little plastic mat thingies to protect the rims from the gunk on the bottom of the cabinet. Otherwise, rim down to protect from dust.

I'm a squeamish germophobe, though.

Rim down. It keeps them cleaner and you can store farts in them.

i put them rim down... i think from having lived in so many apartments with questionable vermin issues. Double Ewwww! :wacko:

yeah, my mom puts them rim up. maybe it was like a 1950s thing? Of course, no vermin or dust or gunk in my mom's house....

rim down... mostly because I have 'germy' issues too! And in case you empty the dishwasher before the 'dry' cycle, all that water drips down to the outside instead of pooling and collecting bacteria on the inside. ;) Yeah... issues, i know! :lol

Rim down - keeps them sturdier - plus we tier them so as not to waste half the cupboard space and the 'upper' ones are rim up.
