You need two photos per application.

The checklist doesn't say 'send six photos' at the top because not everyone filing AOS also files for AP and the EAD; that's why the advice to ensure that there are enough photos is listed under the I-131 and I-765 subtopics. And that's listed in the AOS guide.

The Guides here on VJ are designed to assist you in putting your AOS application together...they are not 'the definitive' instructions . The onus is still on YOU the applicant to make sure that you've put together you application(s) correctly. That includes reading the instructions on the forms themselves (the I-485, I-130, etc.), calling USCIS(not much good...but if you can't get the info needed anywhere else, you can try there), reading the VJ guides, AND asking questions on the VJ forums.

It is your responsibility to make sure your application is as complete and correct as you can make it...because I guarantee you, saying "well I didn't know to include such and such because the VJ Guides did not tell me" will not be a valid excuse as far as USCIS is concerned. ;)

I don't want to add onto the confusion, but my understanding that in addition to 6 other photos, one also needs a photo for G-325A. (One photo with petitioner's form G-325A and one for the spouse's G-325A). This, of course, applies only to those applications that actually need G-325A filled out.

the aos guide just gives you an idea of what you need. you still need to read all the instructions of every form so you know which docs are needed for which form.

as caladan said, not everybody is filing for ap and ead with their aos, thats why the guide just lists the required docs for aos. and as karin and otto wrote when also submitting ap and ead you need to include any additional docs required for those specific forms.

just read the instructions and dont think that because youre having "help" from a lawyer he knows everything and does it right, take care of yourself! some lawyers made bad mistakes for some people on here.

and dont keep saying, but the vj guide didnt state that, its just a guide!

sorry if my post sounds a bit rude, i just cant understand that people cant read the instructions first and then aks questions about what ever they dont understand, i was confused about a lot of stuff too, but i read the instrutions first to inform myself.

I-485 only needs one G-325A from the petitioner (The foreign resident adjusting status) and it is the I-485, I-131, and/or I-765 that needs the passport photos.

You are thinking I-130 and or I-129F, those forms for visas they require G-325A from petitioner and beneficiary, and again it is not the G-325A needing the photos, it is the I-130, and/or I-129F that require the pictures.

Read the Photo flyer I attached in my prior post, it specified which forms requires passport photos, and how many photos are required for each form, G-325A is NOT in the list.

Following the instructions that come with each petition, and any superceding instructions on the USCIS web site will always work. Each petition has its own requirements even though you may send them all together.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

14 I-131, Application for Travel Document, if you need to travel outside the United States while your application is processed (optional)

That's why the guide includes those sentences....just because the link is broken doesn't mean you can't look at the instructions yourself and see what they require. I hope you sent the other documentation required for those forms or you will have a hard time getting your AP or EAD approved..

Called to USCIS.... and they told me that there are three options:

1) they will not need more pictures from me

2) they will send RFE to send pictures

3) or they will send everything back asking to submit more pictures....

My lesson is ... next time when we will submit papers to lift conditions and naturalization to call USCIS first

:D

Well the call to USCIS is free as it is an 800 number...but it seems the OP prefers to be spoon-fed, rather than doing the investigative research themselves.

There is no connection between the need to file a G-325a and the need to include any passport style pictures.

They don't call it the misinformation line for nothing. You called and they gave you three possible answers because they don't know the answer to your question.

The best advice has already been given. First, read the instructions for each form. Us the VJ guides as a guide but post a specific question before you use the guides to supercede the form instructions. Guides are not instructions.
