How long until my fiance will recieve packet from the embassy?

Hi everyone!!!! My petition was approver by the vermont service center on febuary 22!!! :yes: Yahoo!!! And then The NVC sent me a letter dated febuary 29 that the documentation would be forwarde to moscow within 1 week! I am currently in russia with my Fiance and am planning on staying her until she gets her visa! ;) does anyone know how longuntil she should recieve her packet from the embassy? Can I call them and ask if they recieved it and try to schedule her interview? Once she gets schedules her interview how long do you have to wait for the interview? please help

Looks like it is taking about 2 1/2 months to the interview date following the time NVC sends out the petition to Moscow. Not sure what visa you are there on, can you stay that long? No, you won't be able to call them and set up the interview as they will set the date (others have tried the same but are never successful). I'm sure you have read the US embassy Moscow website that spells it out. Also check in with the Russia forum here on VJ as you will get a lot of help from others going through the same process now.
