Case status online does not work for me

Hi!

I am very confused as I used to track my case online (K1 visa) without any problem!

I received by mail 3 receipt numbers for I-485, I-131 and I-765. All starting with the MSC letters and none of them work when I enter them in the USCIS.gov website.

I also received the biometrics appointment that mentions the same receipt numbers.

Is it the website that has a problem? :angry:

Any clue?

I tried to call them without success!

Hi I received my NOAs today and I have the same problem. However for what i read on this forum it takes a while for USCIS to upload your status online. However and idea could be to register with USCIS on their website and that why we might be able to get some updates via e-mail!

We could not track our case(s) (AOS/EAD) online until the day after the biometrics appointment - after that, all worked as it did for the K1. This is fairly common - see what happens after your biometrics. :thumbs:

The ironic part is, your biometrics appointment itself is a "touch" so you'll know it is happening. :whistle:

We received three (3) NOA receipt forms a few days after delivery to the Chicago lock box, so that day I entered the information into my portfolio online, but I kept receiving a error message that stated "invalid receipt number". After several days of this I assumed that these receipt numbers had not been updated on USCIS website, and in fact that was the case. Approximately a week to ten days after receiving the NOA I was able to update the receipt numbers in my portfolio online and begin to track my case on their website. After reading this forum for several weeks it is my opinion that there is no set guidelines or timeframe for when your receipt numbers are updated. Just be patient, it all happens on their time. Yes Don't worry about the tracking thing on their website, they are so mysterious!!! I don't understand too!!

My EAD and AP were last touched on Dec and Jan...and they've never re-sent me a NOA!!

But guess what?? Yesterday they finally updated/touched me, and now they approved my both cases!! :jest:

AOS Process:

- 11-28-07 I-485/I-765/I-131 sent

- 12-06-07 NOA1 of AOS

- 12-18-07 received RFE for I-864

- 12-20-07 EAD and AP touched (Notice Returned as Undeliverable)

- 01-04-08 Biometrics appointment done

- 01-19-08 resent hubby's income proof

- 01-28-08 AOS touched (Response to RFE received, and case processing has resumed)

- 03-10-08 EAD and AP finally touched and approved!!! =)

- 03-12-08 Case Transfer to CSC

- 03-13-08 EAD Touched again (Card Production ordered)

- 03-17-08 AP and Transfer notice received in mail (AP valids until 03-09-09)

- 03-18-08 EAD touched again (Approval Notice sent)

- 03-20-08 EAD received in mail

- 03-27-08 AOS Touched everyday since 03-20 (Case pending)

- 04-01-08 Applied for my SSN with married name

- 04-07-08 SSN received in mail (YAY!!! No More ALIEN)

- 05-19-08 Received another RFE about medical

- 05-21-08 Visited family doctor for full medical exam

- 05-27-08 Visited civil surgeon to fill in I-693

- 05-28-08 Mailed out RFE reponse to CSC

- 05-30-08 USPS shows my RFE reponse was delivered at 11:22 AM in LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92607

- 06-04-08 RFE received and case processing has resumed

- 06-09-08 GC Card production ordered and welcome letter sent (6 months waiting!!!)

- 06-12-08 GC Approval Notice sent

- 06-16-08 GC and welcome letter received

Quick q: was your AP MSC# also listed on your biometrics appointment letter? Or just the EAD and AOS?

Just trying to figure out when they began enforcing and informing folks about the new biometrics requirements for the AP.

We applied AOS end of October 07, but 1-485 still not one line. We made one call to 800#, and talked to someone who was hard to understand. He said something about probably still in security check. Its time to call again, and then I will make an info-pass if no satisfaction. If still nothing , I will contact my attorney whom we hired, because after K-1 experience, I think it is easy to get set on their back shelf somewhere. We received work and travel documents, biometric on Dec. 07 but still no way to check status of I-485.

I received 3 weeks ago an e-mail that my AOS was approved and I wold receive my green card shortly. Well, I did receive that 7 months ago.

So, I guess it not working too well. :unsure:

It takes sometimes before your case is updated into the USCIS website
