$1.79 a pound for green bell peppers ??????????????????? :o :o :o

Two for $1.00 here yesterday at HEB (South Texas monopoly grocery chain.) Red peppers (big ones) were $1.50 each.... didn't notice the price of yellow ones. Want me to send you some ? :P

Green means go, Red means stop in terms of traffic lights. We should stop buying the Red ones and going for the Green ones so that we can save money.

Isn't that the same though? They're pretty heavy. I would weigh the ones I got but we ated them :blush:

2 average-sized bell peppers weigh about 1 pound or a little bit over...

They don't really taste much different. Go with green, if the rainbow colored ones are overpriced.

I agree. The only reason I ever buy them is if I'm preparing some special dish and I want to be colorful, to show the yellow, orange, red and green. But that's very rare. Just go with the green. They usually taste better than the rest anyway.
