I have a question. I am gathering everything I need for the I864 affidavit of support. Do I send them my original Employment letter or a copy of it?

I'm asking for 3 employment letters and will send in the original. I'll give my wife one later for the interview. Here's what I'm planning to send for AOS:

  • Form I-864EZ
  • 2007 Federal Tax Return and W2
  • 2006 Tax Transcript, Federal Tax Return and W2
  • 2005 Tax Transcript, Federal Tax Return and W2
  • ITIN letter from IRS for my wife
  • Pay stubs from the most recent six months
  • Employment letter

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Do we have to send copies to our mates aswell, when filing through US? is it necessary? I'm traveling in 3 weeks to go see him just woundering if i should take anything with me, paper work, for him just to have in case. The mail is terrible in kosovo!
