I wake up at 5 am in the morning and my hubby used to wake up at 3am.

It isn't as bad as it seems.

I personally like it, you get to beat traffics both way and you have time to do official errands (post office, banks...) before the rush or closing time.

It takes time to get used to it but after that, it is a piece of cake. :)

No need to point that i am voting for the early morning shift lol. :)

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

I vote for 4:30 a.m. since I'm obviously still sleeping at 7:15 a.m. and it didn't hit me that it was that early...

I'd say work in the afternoons - at least you'll have Fri and Sat off.

Eeek.. What a choice

I would say quit the job!!!

If I HAD to choose one though, I think I would go with the Monday-Friday, 4.30am - 12.30pm. I would prefer to have the weekends and afternoons off. (Especially with the summer coming up)

I said quit just because I know how bad you hate the job. I could not fathom waking up at 3:30 am to go to work. I have a hard enough time dragging my butt outta bed at 6:30 am. And the later shift would annoy me too because I love getting home and doing stuff in the evenings before I go to bed. So quitting would be my best option. I realize that might not be the case for you.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

You're a morning person, the early shift is Monday - Friday, and it gives you more time with Charles.

Sounds like the best option to me!

You say that like it's a good thing. ;)

I'll say yes for the 430am schedule. Now that I can access the computer I'll probably be less bored. But I don't know how much longer I'll put up with this job. I keep looking everyday for something else but no luck so far.

I just hate the thought of being home. I think that'll probably suck even more than having a crappy job. Then I get really scared I'll quit and not find anything for a long time and wind up having to get another crappy job that is not NAF and lose my option to guaranteed get the first job similar to mine and have to apply as everybody else's. So yeah, my situation totally sucks. I guess the main issue I have is living in a small town, cuz there are jobs in KC, Overland Park, etc, but I really don't feel like driving over an hour in good weather condition to make like $12/hour or less.

I could never do a 04.30 start time. I have zero motivation in the morning. If I could have it my way, I'd like a 09.30 to 19.30 shift Tuesday through Friday.

I think you should choose whatever allows you the most time with Charles. This is the most important thing.

I also wake at 03:30 in the morning at my job and it is only bad on the first day.

But I don't drink at all or go out. So that may not be you.

I like Kazen's choice of shift. I work best at those hours.

My beloved Joy is here, married and pregnant!

See, that's the thing. You might as well keep what you have for now.

I would love missing all the traffic and getting off early so I could do things I can't normally do without taking paid time off, like Doctor, Dentist, Bank, Social Security Office, DMV.....all those stupid offices that have pretty much bank hours.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
