I have to admit, Marilyn this was the case for us. We felt a strong connection without ever having physically met (and, yes, we used the "L" word between each other.) So, yes, it is possible in reverse. When my eyes met Alla's for the first time it served to seal the deal as I could now see she was truly for real.

what if the deeper connection happened before you met in person??

aye, myself as well. Finally meeting in person confirmed that what we shared was real.

I have been on the other side of the coin, in that I met someone online, thought this could be "it", and found out otherwise when we met in person.

Love is a choice, not something that just "happens". (IMHO of course!)

yeah, this is what happened for me too...

my heart loved him before we met but my brain had to meet him in person to see that it was real.... and when I saw him I just knew and fell head over heals in love with him, heart, mind and soul....... :D(L)

Ditto.

(Replace "Him" with "Her")

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I believe you can feel something for someone, but love is when you really get to know someone. I can't explain what I felt for my husband the first time I looked at him - maybe it was just an attraction and/or lust since he looked so good...

But I didn't realize I loved him until later...

Well, I'm in this camp also....BUT...

You have to have your newly-met eyes wide open. Someone can be one thing online and on the phone, and quite another in real life.
