I believe in attraction and interest in first sight. Love comes after you get to know the person.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Yes, I do. But it is superficial. True love comes later after you feel a deeper connection.

I have to admit, Marilyn this was the case for us. We felt a strong connection without ever having physically met (and, yes, we used the "L" word between each other.) So, yes, it is possible in reverse. When my eyes met Alla's for the first time it served to seal the deal as I could now see she was truly for real.

what if the deeper connection happened before you met in person??

IMO I don't think you can truly 'fall in love' with someone 100% until you know them in person. I think you can be in love with the 'thought' of someone though.

As for love at first sight... I don't believe in that. Lust? Yes. It takes time to develop a relationship.

aye, myself as well. Finally meeting in person confirmed that what we shared was real.

I have been on the other side of the coin, in that I met someone online, thought this could be "it", and found out otherwise when we met in person.

Love is a choice, not something that just "happens". (IMHO of course!)

not really..possible lust at first sight is a better term..how can one fall in love with someone until they kn ow the person? their values/ their experiences/ their dreams and goals?

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

That's not really "love at first sight" then though. I mean, technically, it's the first time you've seen the person in the flesh, but since you already know the person, you've had a chance to get to know their character.

I personally think love at first sight is impossible (in the traditional sense...you see a person, know virtually nothing about them, yet fall in love) for the reasons that Dean stated above.
