I live in Chicago and can " assure " ^_^ you that Obama was not as big a part of that Chicago machine as you may think he was.

Leaving Rhezko aside, the part about what he did during his time in Chicage that indicates that political change is a fundamental belief is fair game. Did he propose measures that were thwarted? Did he feel that change is only necessary in Washington? Did he impliment some politically significant measures?

* Voted to end $300 million worth of tax breaks for businesses. (2004)

* Voted for having Illinois endorse embryonic stem cell research. (2004)

* Voted against restrictions on public funding of abortion. (2000)

* Successfully co-sponsored a prescription drug discount buying club program for seniors and the disabled. (2003)

* Unsuccessfully co-sponsored ban on discrimination based on sexual orientation. The measure became law after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate. (2003)

* Successfully co-sponsored major ethics reform called the Gift Ban Act. (1998)

You mean he voted "present'?

That's one way of doing politics in Illinois. Been explained ad hominem here and regurgitated here.

Devillette accuses people of sexism on a daily basis without any substantial backing.

No, I don't. If you read my posts, you would know that.

*cough cough bull$hit*

If it's not that, it's some other thing.

Take your agenda elsewhere...

One of Obama's "present" votes was on 1999 legislation that would have required teens 15 and older to be tried as adults for firing weapons on or near school grounds. He was among five African-American senators voting present.

On the abortion bills, legislators who supported women's rights to the procedure were encouraged to vote "present" on bills that would have required parental notice before minors could obtain abortions and that would have barred what abortion foes call "partial-birth" abortions, a leading abortion-rights advocate said. The goal was to entice moderate Republicans and Democrats to also vote present, helping to defeat the bills.

If that's not implied racism, I don't know what is.

Sexism, racism - the whole thing stinks IMO.

I don't like any of it. Got it?

I don't either. I was just trying to make a point, but it's been made now. So there's no reason for me to keep making nasty, false accusations.

Those cats are clearly racist.

On a side note, that my be the blackest cat I have ever seen. You can barely even make out the contours.

It's not in connection with 'your name'. It's a link you put up.

If you're gonna get offended by what people think of the sources and links you put up, you better think about them before you put them up.
