Gosh, she's all over the place! What is she thinking?! I don't see why people can't see her sick and twisted ways of trying to get votes. If this is how shady she oprates before she is in Office then who knows what she could become when in office.

I think that was very wise and right on what Obama said about stating how he is in first place, has more electoral AND popular votes and Hillary still treats him like a second rate candidate. What is that all about?

Yep. It's the arrogance that turns a lot of people off. Even if she's just being political, it doesn't do well for her. She could use a little humility and self effacement.

Oh and Obama has humility? Gimme a break - did you read that NYT article I posted? He had his sights set on the WH before he became a Senator!

Come on Dev, you know Hillary had her sights set on the WH long before she became a senator.

When she was IN the WH, you mean? ;)

I never said she didn't Gary, but Obama claims he is no insider, etc, yet he consulted HER, of all people - on politics. How ironic.

To her nodding head on more than one occasion he said they were friends before the elections and would remain friends afterwards. How petty can one get when it comes to politicians that differ in style more than anything else?

I think that's right. HC and BO are pretty much on the same side of the issues. That being a case, it doesn't seem there's much they can do to tout the merits of their respective cases without resorting to personal attacks and smears. I'd sooner see a substantive discussion of policy ideas rather than this sensationalist conclusion-jumping that seems to be par for the course.

"With X's plan, Y million people will be cut out of healthcare!! OMG OMG OMG!!!"

Silly. And demeaning.

And if it's true? His plan does cut out people, hers does not. That's a fact, not some guess.

Sure... And hers "forces people to have it, whether they can afford it or not". OMG OMG OMG!

Its not a fact - its an opinion based on wishful thinking and (negative) creative interpretation.

Precisely. But again, she has experience... and given her experienced credentials she should have been quite able to get all of us a National Health Care plan a long time ago. THAT would have been an AWESOME achievement but politics got in the way.

Hopefully, given her experience, and her previous drive to help out all Americans, she'd still get my vote if a miracle happened and she got the nomination. Issues are similar, though not all. In that case I'd vote with my conscience in favor of ending the status quo and business as usual, although she represents, with her experience, more of the same. And that's a synonym for, you guessed it, business as usual.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I'd love for someone to answer me what exactly Obama (the most liberal Senator out there) thinks he can accomplish with his 'new fangled way of thinking'? I can assure you that the 99% of Congress is as 'old school' politics as it gets...

That's what Checks & Balances are for. Besides, with a current president that does as he sees fit, I find it hard for a president to continue that trend given the sudden interest in driving people to vote for change.

Now liberalism is a dirty dirty word too, isn't it??

You may be able to assure all of us all you want, but you do not speak to future actions by an as-yet unelected public official. Should he get the opportunity, and fail those that vote for him in said case, then I think that instead of assurances we can logically reason that he may not get a repeat term in office. I think that goes for any politician in doubt.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

So we should just keep electing the status quo because we're at 99% true status quo? That's extremely faulty logic.

One thing he would certainly have is veto power. He could veto any pork barrell spending bills. He could veto any Patriot Acts.

I think having the #1 most liberal Senator running for President is a hinderance, frankly, to the Dem party.

It certainly hasn't stopped him from getting quite a bit of cross party support.

Liberal, perhaps, in name. If he truly was this liberal senator then he'd also be really pushy for Hillary's centerpiece proposal for universal you know what.

Saying "Obama is the most liberal senator" - whoever is saying it - doesn't automatically make it true.

The same was said of Kerry when he was running for President, BTW. Coincidence?

That was an appropriate response by Sen. Obama. Conversely, the Clinton's statement about a possible Clinton-Obama ticket is pre-mature, condescending, and bold. However, it was a good political tactic that was countered very well by Sen. Obama. Let the games begin... We can look forward to a back and forth exchange in the upcoming weeks. Even though it would be nice if the Democratic nominee was decided, I do look forward to the political death-match between the two heavy-weights.

Death-match! :pop:
