An update on our case. After the 5 month wait for the NOA2 and the delay with the case getting to the NVC, things are finally happening. We've managed to get Tania an interview date of September 3! I just got the good news this morning. Now, we can start making travel plans for her to Moscow for the interview!

CONGRATS!!! someday we will be in that same position!!!!

Thank you! You'll be there before you know it! I really don't understand why the NVC is holding your file. Maybe your Congressman's office could inquire?

Congratulation Don! September 3rd is coming fast! Can't believe how everything is speeding up those past few weeks!:thumbs:

Thanks! We're both very excited! Congrats on your (soon to be scheduled?) upcoming interview as well!

I called DOS and NVC today and guess what - my file is in "administerative processing" and there is "no time limit specified" for this. Both people were unfriendly and basically told me to go away and wait. I got my NOA2 on 18 July, so this is starting to suck.

However congratulations to all those with good news since I was last here :D And good wishes to all those waiting...

Hmmmm We received another letter from NVC this morning, this time dated 7 August, the first one was identical and dated 4 August. You have to wonder what the heck is going on over there. I am going to try not to get angry  as I am about to go to California with my beloved B) . I can pick up the phonathon on Monday morning.

hi everyone,

congratulations to everyone to had their NOA2 this week and for those who are still waiting.. your time is coming very soon..hang in there!!! I'm really hoping that tthe rest of our batch (feb) will be approved soon!!

I have a question who ever has their case number from NVC... when could i call the US embassy?? i just found out yesterday that thay have my MNL # but the nice lady from NVC told me that they haven't forwarded my case to manila consulate yet!!! I just want to make sure i'm doing the right thing.. or if any of you have any info regarding US embassy in manila.. i would really like some info!!! thanks a lot!!

good luck to all of us!!

The embassy already has your electronic info. You can have your fiance pay her doc verification fees now,as long as she has the MNL#. Trust me the sooner you pay, the better off you are. You may not be able to set your interview date until they have the physical docs in hand though. You can trying calling the call center, but I had better luck speaking with a lady named Grace. I have to call the embassy back tonight to see if our docs have been returned from NSO yet. Check out the regional board, you will find alot more specific help there.

How's everyone doing? Excited? Anxious? Nervous? Plane tickets purchased yet? We were almost at the bottom of page two, so I figured I'd give us a little bump and see how everyone was! :)

On a side note...is anyone else just going out for the interview and planning to bring their fiance/e back with them? That's what we're doing...we've purchased all of the plane tickets, Dennis put in his notice at work, his house is sold, his stuff is partially packed up (he's going to be living with his sister for the last couple of weeks before the interview)...it makes me just a little bit nervous because I would hate for something to happen to delay everything now! I can't imagine what would...we have tons of evidence of our relationship, I make more than enough money to qualify as the sponsor, etc...I'm just nervous...but I think I'll BE nervous until we have safely activated the visa, crossed the border, and are on our way home (we'll be driving from Winnipeg).

I would love to accompany my fiancee to her interview, but there's no gaurantee that she'll get the visa stamped on the same day as her interview. So we're gonna play it safe and not make any definite plans until she gets the visa stamped. No interview date has been set yet, she just got packet 3 a couple of days ago. She's getting ready to send that out in the next 2 days. I'm hoping that her interview will be in September or early October. Then I can get time off the first week of December and go to Pakistan and then we can fly back together and get married!
