February filers at CSC

*****NEWSFLASH****

To all those on this thread in the 21st/22nd February club - I just created a timeline, and on completion, was taken to the timeline page. Right there wasn updated processing timeline from CSC: they are currently processing applications received on 21st Feb! LOL!! Today might be the day after all.

Interestingly, Vermont is currently processing applications received in April!!!!! So the soundest advice for anyone starting off on this VJ lark is go via Vermont!!

There were times in the process where I considered moving to Rhode Island (I have family there that I could move in with) just long enough to get my petition transferred to VSC, approved, then come back home to Utah!! I'd love to say that I didn't consider it seriously...but considering that a lot February VSC filers have their visa in hand right now...it was seriously tempting!

See my timeline for my K-1 and AOS/EAD/AP details.

I'd been tempted to do it, but honestly it was a friend from VJ who was approved at the beginning of June. She filed in January and we have known our fiance's about the same amount of time and strangely enough our fiances live about 45 minutes from each other in Winnipeg. We had filed like 20 days apart or something, but there was already over a month's difference in approval dates and she said "You really should call them." I can't explain why...but when she said that it just clicked in my head and I did it.

They'll give information to the petitioner OR the beneficiary. As long as your name is one of the names on the petition, they'll give you information. However...right, wrong, or indifferent...I would only call if you speak English very well.

I think I'll give it another week and then I'll call. My 5 months are up on the 25th. I'm getting a little anxious.

That really sucks. :( Have some hope, though...I've heard that if they don't have an answer (or they don't want to bother looking it up) and it's within processing times they just tell you to wait or sometimes they'll just say "it's in security checks" in order to get you off the phone. What they said might not mean anything *hugs*

Sigh, so I called and I talked to a nice man who said unless there is reason to hurry the case, sadly I will have to wait just like everyone else. That after six months if I still do not hear anything then I should call back.

Maybe nothing will happen, but maybe then again someone will take notice of our case. At this point I dont know what else to do :( I mentioned that one of my friends had been on the website and they didnt see that their case had been touched but when they called they found out that they had been approved, I said maybe it was just their computer or something and with the cookies the website didnt update properly (trying to make it sound like it was our home computers at fault rather than them) he said that depending on the cases and the offices that handle it some go faster than others. I was shaking so bad when I talked with him but I was very nice and remembered all my southern manners, yes sir, thank you, etc...

I just want some results !!! AHHHHHH!!!

Try this http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...l=shaking+loose

When you call USCIS you are only talking to a front line screener at the customer service center I believe thats in Missouri. They basically see only what you are seeing on the web-site also. You want to talk to an actual immigration officer. Just remember to speak their lingo and to be courteous.

Did all those who got approvals printed their forms from the PC? I just realized that maybe the possible reason why we are not yet approve is that all our documents were handwritten although we filled them up in black ink and capital letter. I wish I discovered visajourney before we filed the petition. Oh well, I hope they will not deny it based on that basis.

I didn't read your whole post before I responded...that's what I get for posting before I've completely woken up. I don't think that hand-writing them will be a problem at all as long as it was easily readable. If it was a problem, they would issue an RFE and it would have probably been done already. They won't flat-out deny you for it...the worst that will happen is they'll RFE you and you guys will send the forms back ASAP. From what I've heard most people hear an approval back within 30 days of responding to an RFE...so even getting an RFE wouldn't be TOO bad, because at least you know your petition as at the top of the pile. I know how hard it is to wait...I was at the point of completely losing hope...5 months and not even a touch when we got approved. Just keep your hopes up...it'll come soon.

Hi Aravis, thank you so much for your support. My fiance called them up while ago and the person told him that the our case is in the hands of the adjudicator. That's a better answer than the usual "within the processing time stuff". I just hope that person will touch our case soon. RFE would be just fine. I can't wait to get over this. I am in better spirits today. I realized that I should stop complaining and nagging my fiance about it because it's beyond our control. I hope that CSC ppl will stop playing God and give us our NOA2.
