I just checked again and we still have not had any tocuhes since Feb 22nd. :-( It gets more difficult every day when I see othes getting their NOA2's, but I also know that means it is bound to be our time soon. It is a cautiously frustrated optimistic time!! :pop:

Interestingly enough, that was the exact same day that mine was last touched - I reckon you and me got stuck in a crappy batch, cwaf! Do me a favour, pal, and let me know when anything happens to yours, and I'll do the same.

Cheers

Damian

I was just looking at Igor's list and saw so many that was after us for NOA1 that have already been approved. SIGH I will definitely post back when I am updated!!

Hello,

I'm in the same boat as both of you. Last touched on Feb 22nd. Are we all stuck in the same person's inbox?

LOL ntropy! That's exactly what I'm thinking!! The bloke that's dealing with us obviously had the ####### on Feb 22nd and is taking it out on us!! Seriously, you gotta laugh!!!!

Did all those who got approvals printed their forms from the PC? I just realized that maybe the possible reason why we are not yet approve is that all our documents were handwritten although we filled them up in black ink and capital letter. I wish I discovered visajourney before we filed the petition. Oh well, I hope they will not deny it based on that basis.

We printed everything off of our computers. All of Dennis' stuff was printed on a black and white printer, I don't think that makes any difference, but just in case you're worried.

I didn't read your whole post before I responded...that's what I get for posting before I've completely woken up. I don't think that hand-writing them will be a problem at all as long as it was easily readable. If it was a problem, they would issue an RFE and it would have probably been done already. They won't flat-out deny you for it...the worst that will happen is they'll RFE you and you guys will send the forms back ASAP. From what I've heard most people hear an approval back within 30 days of responding to an RFE...so even getting an RFE wouldn't be TOO bad, because at least you know your petition as at the top of the pile. I know how hard it is to wait...I was at the point of completely losing hope...5 months and not even a touch when we got approved. Just keep your hopes up...it'll come soon.

We filed in Feb and had our NOA1 on Feb 11th. Still no touches. With the wedding qucikly approaching (October 15th) I am sick with worry. Since several of you called and talked with someone I want to try to do that as well. My biggest problem is waiting and feeling like I can not do anything. Maybe if I can do something I will feel less worried.

So my questions are...

1) who exactly am I calling? and what is the phone number?

2) for those who got an approval after calling, what should I say to them? (I am worried I am so emotional at this point that I will say too much or too little)

Thanks! and Congrats to all those who got approvals :) I would have said congrats sooner but to be honest it gets really hard lately to come on here and see others getting there approval or NOA2 and we still have nothing. :(

1) Call the CSC customer service line. The number should be on your NOA1 or if you log into your case status on-line it gives the customer service number for CSC there. I followed the steps to report an RFE because I think it's pretty much the only way to get to a real person. It's probably not a good idea to do it really often...but at least pretend there is something you don't understand about your case.

2) I'm in the same place you are...I'm extremely over-emotional about the whole thing and all I managed was "Really?!?! Thank you!! Thank you so much!!!" before my voice cracked and I said goodbye so that I could call Dennis.

I don't feel do call them by myself, between my wrong english and my emotions... i will be not able to talk clearly or understand.

So I wait that Richard call me back to tell me what they'll say

I'll let you know if it change something or not.

Also...be super, extra polite. I know everyone is frustrated, but don't let THEM know. Just be completely polite...picture grandma polite here...old-school Chip and Dale polite ("No, no, no...you go first." "No Brother...I insist, you go first."). And if they tell you that you still have to wait...continue to be polite. You don't want the person who answers the phone to tell the adjudicators that "this case number just called and they were REALLY rude." I don't know that they'd do something...but I just don't think it's worth testing.

Spot on. Probably the soundest piece of advice anyone will receive today. Which is precisely why I won't be phoning them, because they'd get both barrels they p***ed me off.

That's why I'm having an attorney deal with it - so I can yell at him instead!

When you call the CSC number, going down the RFE path seems to be about the only way to actually get to a real person. So, like so many others, that's what I did. I figure that the folks who answer the phone there aren't complete idiots. They surely understand that people will usually punch whatever buttons they can if they believe they can actually speak with somebody. So, when I called, I didn't BS about some supposed RFE for my case. I just inquired about the status. When he gave me the usual garbage, I asked him why others who had filed later than me had already been approved. He said that wasn't the case and said that he didn't know where I was getting that information. I told him I got that information from the people who had their petitions approved. He didn't have much of a reply.....just wanted to get rid of me. The guy that I happened to speak with didn't come off as all that friendly, and he most certainly wasn't helpful. He just told me the same thing that I could see on the online status page. Apparently, some other folks have had different and better experiences while others' experiences have been similar to mine. I don't have any real reason to believe that my call made any difference. I really think the timing of my call and the approval was purely coincidental. But, who knows for sure? It certainly didn't hurt anything, and it made me feel a little better to call....just to know that I tried to do something.

FWIW, that was my approach and my experience.

Best of luck to those still waiting!

To all those on this thread in the 21st/22nd February club - I just created a timeline, and on completion, was taken to the timeline page. Right there wasn updated processing timeline from CSC: they are currently processing applications received on 21st Feb! LOL!! Today might be the day after all.

Interestingly, Vermont is currently processing applications received in April!!!!! So the soundest advice for anyone starting off on this VJ lark is go via Vermont!!
