I don't understand the process. isn't it suppose to be on a first come first serve basis.

I'm in the same boat. My theory, which would at least partially explain this, is that as petitions come in to the CSC, they are tossed into a box with similar (K-1, K-3, etc.) petitions. When that box is filled, they put a date on the box and begin filling another. Then, they work on the box with the earliest date. But, they start with the petition on top (the last one placed into that box) and work their way to the bottom. Thus, the first petition placed into that particular box is the last one looked at. It looks as though neither your petition or mine was at the top. :( Just one possible explanation.....I really have no idea. But yeah, it does suck to see those who filed after us getting reviewed (and approved) before they even look at ours. Don't get me wrong. I'm happy for those getting approved. I'm just upset with the USCIS for NOT processing petitions in the order they were received (as they claim to do). Yet, I know there are many who filed much before us who still (apparently) haven't even had their petitions looked at. I feel for them, as they've been waiting longer than us.

I'm convinced they do it just to irritate people. :P I've given up trying to make heads or tails out of the process, all I know is our time will come soon. If I start to see too many after me getting approved I'll be on the phone to my congressman's aide. I don't want to get stuck like sunnybear has, or worse yet, some of the leftovers from '07. I can't imagine waiting 240-280 days for NOA2. As much as I want my approval, I think they deserve theirs far more than me.

exactly. where is the right justice in here. they always said that we need to look at teh timeframe they have, but hey, why some get afford, that look like they filed late before us. how it happen and why it happen? that the real question here, why seem it sound so unfair to those who filed first and who filed late and get their NOA2. are they really workign this fairly? this really hurt me and this even feel me sad that now i wanted to give up with this paper works and let my fiance live w/me here at Philppines. i dont really understand why this happen this way.

I realize how lucky we were to get a NOA2 as quickly as we did from CSC.

One thing that I did was I filled out the forms electronically, all of them before printing them and signing them. I think this helped and made them easier to read.

We also included:

copy of birth certificate of beneficiary

copy of beneficiary passport

copy of beneficiary social security card.

these were not required but I believe that the more info you provide the better, plus it leaves less doubt in the mind of the USCIS employee working your case the extent of your partnership with your fiance.

and of course, following the VJ guides is the best way to success. I hope that the next couple of weeks will see more approvals and many will moe onto the next steps. hang in there.

I think I should stop expecting that I'll get NOA2 soon just because people who filed on the same date as mine already got their NOA2s. Apprarently that's now how it works. My fiance and I have been arguing a lot about it lately. We are both frustrated. We've been apart for three and half years now. Some people are so lucky. They only met last year and now they are together. I'm sorry for ranting but this is really frustrating.

Hey, don't worry like that there's still a lot of February filers before you and after you.

I know it is frustrating, i feel the same.

But it will happen.

Not today, as it's july 4. But next week or the week after, I'm sure about that.

seeing a February 16 approval don't mean that they forget your case, it depends from the officer who is working on. And don't forget also that what you see in VJ is maybe only 5% of all petitions that USCIS is working on.

Keep your hopes, all will be fine soon.

Hugs and kisses

Yoko

Boy the wait feels like it takes forever. It is the forth of july here and all I keep telling myself is this will be the last year we are apart! It will be sooooo nice to watch the fireworks with my sweety. Just remember that we need to keep our patients and keep our hope. Soon enough all of our dreams will come true!! Although the wait feels like it takes forever.... just remember abstance makes the heart grow fonder!! I know me personally every day I am apart from Aline I miss her just that much more. Don't get me wrong I have my bad days to but I am really doing my best to try to look at the positives! I believe everything has its positive! So KEEP YOU HOPES HIGH! We are almost there!!
