Hello old february mates. I feel like a stranger here. I got overwhelmed and depressed waiting to hear from the London Embassy, so I took some time off the forum - I found it was making me more stressed checking everyone else's progress all the time.

Anyway I managed to stay just the right side of a nervous breakdown and today DOS told me I have my interview on 29 October, giving me a plausible chance of making my November wedding date.

I hope you are all well and busy getting ready for the big moves. Some of you must be there and settled already.

I am sorry to read that Ray had problems at the interview. You are not the only one and I hope it can be resolved quickly.

I am officially a married woman! We had a teeny, tiny ceremony at my church on Thursday with just my mom, one of my good friends, my little brother, and my father there. Then Dennis and I took off for a mini honeymoon at a little B&B a couple hours north of here. It was wonderful and it feels so good to finally be married after all of that waiting! It was worth every minute of the wait to get to where we are now. :)

Congratulations Andrea!

So we're discussing our big honeymoon after the big ceremony in May and are trying to figure out where to go. We don't want to plan outside of the US because it isn't worth the stress over whether we'll get the AP in time or not...but I was thinking...anyone know if Puerto Rico is ok? Technically it's part of the US...you don't need a passport to go (I've never been there, so I don't know all of the policies)...but I would really hate to get there and then not be able to come back home. :)

C'mon cwaf! Share the good news with us! Ray, I'm so sorry you're having troubles :( I pray everything gets worked out! Is there anything we can help you with? Research that needs doing? I'm good at that stuff.

We went into the social security office today and Dennis' card is on it's way...hopefully, their computer system was down today, so the guy said they couldn't communicate properly with the other systems, but that he would try to put the request back through later on once the system was up so we wouldn't have to wait "too long" for the card. It was really simple otherwise, though. The guy said he'd already done several that day...not sure if that means K-1 holders or just new residents of all kinds. I also changed my name with them. Yay for that.

Dunno, but it must be pretty bad if he can't bring himself to share it with us just yet. It sucks when #### like that happens.
