Friends,

I am waiting on getting citizenship in coming months & then need to file for K1 visa for my fiance in INDIA.

Anybody know exact or approximate timeline for her to getinto USA after filed, most recent experience..?

and anybody know the best way to contact DELHI embassy to get info on DCF ?

I am struggling to get someone there over the phone..

Timeline

1) Use the VJ timelines, select K-1, and filter for India.

2) DCF is NOT and option for K-Visas (I-129F), only Spousal visas like CR-1 and IR-1 (I-130) and can be filed for only by a US citizen that is living overseas for 6 months or more as a resident of the consulate district.

Are you married? You call her your fiancee her, but in another post you call her your wife. If you are not married, DCF is not an option. DCF is also not an option if you are currently living in the US. Having an address and utility bills in India is not enough, you have to actually be living there and be married to file DCF.

US Immigration Timeline

-------------------------

24 Feb 2007 - Sent I-130 to London USCIS office (I'm the petitioner)

25 May 2007 - NOA2

2 June 2007 - Received Packet 3

12 Oct 2007 - Sent Packet 3 back by special delivery

5 Nov 2007 - Interview in London - Approved without any hitches!

7 Nov 2007 - Visa and MBE arrived by SMS! :)

30 Jan 2008 - Fly to Michigan!! :)

*Note: Any delays in our case are only due to us taking things slowly
