After my wife send to NVC email for me to be agent, do i have to wait the email form NVC before sending out the bill $70 dollars. Also, do i have to send the ds230 for her to sign it or just I just fill them out and sign under my name or not on the ds230. I read the jame's shortcut but i want to make sure. Thank you for your helping.

Yes, you have to wait for NVC confirmation email that you are the choice of agent before you mail out AOS Fee. Make sure, you make label for AOS Fee Bill. Your wife, as the visa applicant needs to sign DS 230 part I. You don't sign anywhere on DS 230 part I. Your wife can fill out the DS 230 part I using acrobat reader, print it out and sign it, and send it to you. You can prepare DS 230 part II, but your wife must not sign now, as your wife needs to sign it during the interview when she will be asked to do so. Don't send DS 230 packet now until NVC generates it later in your NVC process.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

DS 230 part I and part II are the applications for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration. It is the foreign alien spouse who is applying for the immigrant visa, therefore, he/she must sign it. I have not made AOS label, so I can not tell how easy it is, but others made it and they can tell you about it.

hi.

i'm thinking of assigning myself (the beneficiary) as my very own agent (as per Form DS-3032) since my hubby is really really busy. my question is, can i do this, and yet still allow my husband to issue the check? that's assuming uscis will decide to scrap our k3 application, of course. (sorry, i really like to plan possible courses of action in advance coz i hate being caught unawares)

that's because i dont have a dollar checking account, and it would be impractical to open one since i will be leaving anyway.

your thoughts please. thanks so much:)
