Hey All,

I've a quick question, okay so I have a job through a temporary agency, but Im fixing to get on permanent at the company I've been with through the agency in like a week. My question is I listed both the Temporary agency / the company I work for on the application. I intend to get a letter stating that my employment with this company is permanent and whatnot when I get on and such, and to see if they cant write on the letter that I've been working here for over 6 months, through the agency, but have just got on here permanent. My question is will they look down on that at the embassy, I make well over the required amount for support like $8,000 over can we be turned down because I have been with a temp agency even though I've been here through them for 6 months+??? Any help would be great as NVC just sent everything to London today...

Kind Regards,

Shawna & Chris

When it comes to affidavit of support, and public charge requirements, the counselor officer is concerned if the prospective immigrant will have support now and in the future, a temp job is just that temporary, it can end at any time, the counselor officer will take that into their consideration when looking at the affidavit of support.

It it were me, I would be looking at having a co-sponsor with a full time permanent job handy.

I do have a full time permanent job, what i was stating and trying to get an answer in regards to was that would it be okay since i just got on permanent her at this job to submit letters from my temporary agency and a letter from my new employer stating that i just got on permanent through them, but have been working here for six month through a temporary agency.. thats all i was wondering

I have a full time permanent job so there is no need for a co-sponsor I was jsut wondering if that would be okay for the consulate..

Yes this works fine, Provide a good employer letter, and recent pay stubs.

One thing about I-134, the directions included with I-134 are very old, USCIS has no reason to update them since USCIS has no application for that form.

The consulates tend to treat the I-134 like a mini-I-864 as so prefer the same financial evidence as the I-864.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

  • I-134 signed and notarized.

  • SIMPLE Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

  • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years (Not necessary if you provide the transcripts)

  • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.

  • Photo copies of past month or so of pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.
My income was well above the povertyline so I did not include any asset data (LIKE BANK STATEMENTS or property values).

If your income exceeds 125% or (100% for military) of the povertyline when counting yourself, prospective immigrant and any dependents, then don't bother with assets (401K, Bank balance, Stocks etc..), it is just extra un-needed data to provide, the consular officer is most concerned with INCOME.

I downloaded a copy of the I-134 a few months ago, and at the bottom it has "Oath or Affirmation of Sponsor" and a section where it requires the signature of someone administering the oath. Who does this section? It also has a line that reads "My commission expires on ____________" What does this mean and what goes there?

It has to be notarized - the sponsor (USC) should sign it in the presence of the notary, who would then stamp it and fill out the info. Most banks do it for free or a local law office may charge a dollar or two (check with them before you do it in case they are out to fleece you) to notarize if a bank is not easily available. Good Luck
