Portmore nice, but deh mosquitto dem no easy atall. I went there in October to visit my sister and I looked down on my hands and there was this darkness and when I moved my hand they flew off. I did not even feel them land. I just pull Mike and say lets go. At that time dengue fever was rampant in JA. I was not taking any chances. De, baaad nuh raasss.

I am always late to the party...jeez

Forbes - whenever I would go home, I was in Portmore because that's where my husband lived. I am going to be honest with you, you don't want to stay in Portmore. Jewels is a nice place and it looks good, but the back road where it is located is not a nice place. It is a very dark, lonely stretch of road and I know you want secluded, but it may be too secluded. It is located right by Fort Clarence beach and Jewels is located right by the water. Outside of going to Fort Clarence or Hellshire beach, there is really nothing much to do in Portmore. They even closed the movie theatre the other day. You will find yourself going to Kingston for your entertainment, so you might as well stay there. I know you are trying to save money, but there are some very nice places for you to stay in New Kingston that may not break your pockets too much. TAM...u ever si dat road when di sun go down ? u know dem build it up ? there is always a party back there...she can go fi ne day and check it...she a go be with hubby so she fine..nobody nah bodda them.but mi affi agree even though mi come from portmore and mi love most time mi go out a port fi entertainment..up town is good

Yu knoa Kimmy, more time when mi woulda drive through there, it just dark and scary; but mi haffi honestly seh, when mi did go back las' time, mi nevah drive round deh ah night. Aaron not a big partier, so wi nuh really find wi self out deh fi si what ah gwaan still!

Well Hello,

We decided not to stay in Portmore anymore due to him going there last weekend and seeing the mosquito problem. Whenever I go to Jamaica they seem to love my blood...lol

So now we are trying to book a reservation at Alhambra Inn.

Does anyone know how this place look? I have seem pics of the outside but how about the rooms?

You all have not failed me yet.

\the only hotels I know of in Portmore are motels...People just use them for a few hours if you get my drift

I heard there's a hotel in Hellshire, I guess you could ask your guy to get the number?

Where in JA is he from??

Ocho Rios is only 2 hours from Kingston, there you'd be overwhelmed with hotel choices....
