MY BABY GOT HIS VISAAAAAAAAAAAAA :dance::dance::dance:

Here is some information for those who are in the process on what happened on our interview!

They do not require a translator although the consul did not spoke much spanish and my fiance much english they were able to understand each other, I was there with them (My fiance and his son) but they asked me to wait outside the booth while he talked with them, then the consul ask my son to wait outside with me, my case was kind of difficult because both of us were divorced and both of our divorces finished up after we meet, so i had to give them all our divorce papers with the separation dates to prove that we were separated long before we meet. so they asked a lot of questions, some of the questions to both of them where if they were members of the youth communist club (I can remember how that club is call but that question was also in one of the forms he filled out for the interview) then the consul asked my fiance, my dauthers name and date of birth, my mother's name, my father's name, my birthdate, how many time i went to Cuba and for how long, how we meet, the website address were we meet, why we meet like that, when we started to talk about marriage, where he worked, what was his profession, where he was planning to work when arriving to the U.S. and doing what?, what was my step father's name since mi fiance is planning to work with him, where is he going to live and some other questions I can remember. then he called me and start all the questions again, first about the divorce, then dates of my trips to Cuba, what was my profession, where i work, if he was planing to study, and all the same questions he alredy asked my fiance....., I was getting frustrated and king of angry because he didn't even look at all the documents i gave him, he told me that all that Info was "burried" in the big pile of documents he had and it was faster if i can just tell him, it is not easy to remember some things when under pressure like exact dates of my trips! ..... but finally he look at us, (almost about to cry!! :crying: ) and told us, don't worry you are already approved!!! WOWWWWWW!!!:dance: AMENNNNNN!!!! :) THANK GOD!!!!!! I wanted to scream!!! we just hug , kiss and clean each others watery eyes!!!!

I have been reading all the postings here and talking with people that has already gone thru this and they had very easy interviews! in our case I think it was because of our divorce dates.

Just FYI when we arrive for the interview, we had to go to and give a security officer our ID's and then go and wait in line, we wait for almost 45 minutes and then they let us in, you have to pass a security check and then go into the office, they assign you a booth number where they are going to receive all your documents, then you have to wait to be called, first they called him to take his fingerprints, and then for the interview. They did not gave him the visa the same day, we went back the following day and it was not ready yet, so he went back the following week and they gave him the visa and an envelope that he need to take to immigration when entering the U.S. and can't be opened.

now he is waiting for his Carta Blanca, but they need him to go to vivienda and have a paper sign that he doen not owned any property in Cuba, he had to pay 400 CUC for his medical exam and 150 for the carta blanca, the same amounts for his son.

The Documents I took to prove our relationship were all my cell and homephone bills with my calls too him highlighted, 250 pages of a print out of all our e-mails, not the actual emails just the list of the.. to, from, subject, date, and time of all our e-mails, copy and originals of all my plane tickets, reservations, baggage tickets, etc. around 60 pictures of us, receipts of money transfers, also copy of the last 6 month of bank statements, last 3 tax returns, letter of my bank, letter of my employer, last month of check stubs, and the Notarize form of support. and all the documents they require on the website, we never picked up the packet from the embassy because I wrote to them and they send me a link where they have available all the forms and requiered documents. here is the link http://havana.usinterestsection.gov/family...immigrants.html

I'm so happy that we are going to be together soon! and I wish you all the best!!! and I hope this info can help!

TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS!!!!

When my husband went for his K-1 interview, prior to his arrival and our marriage, the interviewer, a woman, asked if he wanted his interview in Spanish because she wanted to practise her Spanish. He was asked almost all the same questions as the poster. I would take a translator, if possible. My husband is fairly fluent in English and I have some conversational Spanish, so we avoided the question, "What would be the common language?".

Great news on getting the visa.

Hi everyone:

My name's Letty and I'm so glad that I found this website because I have gathered some info that I didn't know about how to file the petition for my fiancé. He's actually my children's father but we have never been married before and I'm in the process of filing the petition. We have been together for a long time and now that I got my US Citizenship I've been collecting all we need so I can send the package to USCIS. I just returned from Cuba 10 days ago and it was so hard when I left ..... I'm so nervous because I'm doing it myself and even though I know everything is ready and we have all the proof they need, I'm still nervous. The only thing we wish is to be together for the rest of our lives. I left Cuba when I was 18 and that was 9 years ago. We have been together for 11 years and this is so sad but I hope this ends one day. I'll keep in touch with you and I wish you all the best of luck !!!!!. Sincerely,

Letty.

1993-I met my fiancé ( I was 12 years old and he was 16 but he didn't confess his love until I was 15)

06/10/1997-We started our relationship

09/26/1999-I arrived to the US

10/30/2000-Last time I called him

from 2000 to 2007 I had the worse days in my life because I was not with him and I missed him so much.

11/29/2007-We knew we were born for each other and started our relationship once again.

Felicidades!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the great information. I've been searching the internet for many months for this kind of information, and have failed to find much specific to Cuba/US immigration. I even paid to see a lawyer, who told me she had lots of experience with Cuban immigration matters, but in the end, really was not knowledgeable. (That's a lawyer for you.) But this site has been an amazing source of information. I have more hope now as my boyfriend and I just begin this whole process.

Muchisimas gracias a todos!
