Hi all,

My wife and I had our interview a little over a month ago and we have yet to hear anything as of yet, countless phone calls and trips to immigration have done nothing, I will just have to wait I guess but the problem is that my wife's EAD and Drivers License both expire next week, does anyone have any suggestions. Immigration tells us it is still in process and it wasn't easy to find that out either, we have been to the Miami immigration office 3 times in the past month and have made atleast 10 phone calls. This is very stressfull.

There's not really much that you can do if things are pending. Rebeccajo and a number of other people have been waiting for over two months (and some much longer) since their interview because something was pending, usually an FBI name check. If that's the case with you then there's probably not too much that you can do about it. USCIS is very closemouthed about that.

You might look at contacting your congressperson or senator, perhaps emailing or writing the officer.

I hope everything works out. My husband received his green card less than 3 weeks after our AOS meeting. Before that he had to do an Info-pass about his EAD and then it took 10 days to get the EAD. The driver's license runs out so quickly, can't they just renew it? Sorry I guess if they could you would just do that.

I also heard that there has been a lot of immigration comotion in Miami (really cracking down on illegal alliens) so maybe other things have just slowed down a bit. Good luck
