It will be hard to say as each person's experience is different. It may also depend on the consulate in which the interview is to take place. Our experience: My husband's interview was scheduled three months after the NOA2. His interview was in Montréal. Hopefully someone who has gone through the consulate in India will be able to tell you more. Congratulations on the approval! :)

This might prove to be a lame question as info is posted all over this place ..

We got NO2 within 60 days .. from VSC. Now, what is the tentative time till interview... on people's experience here..

Update Timeline

Once your petition leaves the service center (VSC in your case) it goes to NVC (National Visa Center) - NVC processes it and forward it to the appropriate Embassy/Consulate - in India there are three possible locations - typically this takes anywhere from 2-6 weeks. Once the Embassy receives it, they send Packet 3 - how long this takes depends on the Embassy/country. Check below to see what other's have experienced.

it depends on how prepared you are. If you dont have any of the paper work needed in packet3, then it could take weeks to months depending on how complicated the persons background is.

You might get better information posting on your regional page for people who went through your consulate. It varies significantly. My wait is 6 months. My wait for NOA2 was 5 months.

Packet 3 is info on stuff to gather for the interview, ie, police certificate, medicals, other forms, etc. Packet 4 is the interview appointment letter.
