I read the OP slightly differently, and I think maybe a language gap came into play. I took it that he was a little amused by some compliments he has received toward himself and his countrymen and decided to make light of this a little by saying, "If we're all so hot, what do you think of this mummy from the Egyptian museum?" It didn't come across as conceit to me so much as a lighthearted joke about a generalization that someone had made about him that he recognized as just a generalization. Anyway, I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. :star:

That's how I read it too. I’m also wondering if perhaps it reflects a slightly different sense of humor.

In any case, it’s an improvement on Sand’s hanging banana joke from a few weeks back (no offense, Sand!).

I do wanna add that I'm sure his wife isn't generalizing when she gushes about him. I do enough gushing of my own.

If I switch teams it'll be for an Egyptian man.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Well, she must be marrying you for your looks and clearly not for your wit!

 exactly!

And I'd be careful if I were you. When you come to America you might want to leave that self loving attitude at home in Egypt. try telling a group of American men that American women prefer a "good looking and so hot Egyptian man". You might not be as hot as you once were. ;) Time to grow up, little guy.

to anyone who does not get my joke its your problem not mine

it was just a joke i just want to give you a smile on Sunday morning

and i thank you people for some of your kind responses

and for those of you that did not get my joke you are the ones who has no sense of humor and you are the shallow one

i think mr or mrs ( desert fox ) has some problems with me he is just show me how mean he is or she is and the same for ( me n him ) you both don't have to show me how mean you are cause i already know

by the way me and my fiancée love each other so much more than you can even imagine

and its not about the good looks

its about our hearts and minds and think about this if she wants to be with a handsome and hot man i think she can find that so easy in USA

but she loves me cause of my heart , my mind .....not cause of me being a good looking man

have a blessed nice Sunday

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

Tenderheart first remember you are in with a bunch of women, its good that your gf and family see you this way, but remember we each have someone we feel same about. I would hope this isnt based on the idea all Egyptian, Moroccan, etc men are hot because we all know better, its all in the way someone else sees them, everyone has someone somewhere to care not based on money or looks. Anyway im sure you didnt intend for this to make yourself sound so full of yourself as it did ha i know for a fact you are a good person and yes i have seen your picture  take it easy on him girls.....

All the ones I've seen are SMOKIN' hot.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
