Hello everyone,

I have a somewhat complicated situation here. I partitioned my wife to come to the US as a Fiancé from Dominican Republic. We got married and she got her TEMPORARY green card. Now we are waiting to remove the temporary condition on her green card so she can get a permanent green card. However, because of personal reasons, she has to go back to Dominican Republic. I might have to temporary move there for 1 or 2 years in the near future as well. What is the best way to get the permanent green card? If we were to wait for the 2 years to elapse, what is the chance that we will get a green card? Can we file a K-3 visa since she is oversea now? Or can we file an I-130 since both of us will be oversea soon? Please help..

How long has she been out of the country?

08/17/08: Mailed N400 to TSC

08/19/08: USPS attempted delivery

08/20/08: TSC received N400

08/21/08: TSC cashed check

09/02/08: Received NOA...........Priority date: 08/20/08

..............................................Notice date : 08/22/08

09/02/08: Received Biometrics Notification

09/18/08: Biometrics completed - Charlotte DO

10/24/08: Received Interview Letter

12/08/08: Interview @ 1:00pm. APPROVED!

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!

01/17/09: Applied for US Passport and passport card

01/28/09: Received US Passport

01/29/09: Received US passport card

01/29/09: Received naturalization certificate back from passport office
