OK here is the dilema, My nephew did his papers with some joe smoe piece of garbage here in the Jersey area. Supposedly the paperwork was sent on 1/23/08. However as of today we have no receipt nor does the lady answer her phone or my emails . Quick story he overstayed his visitor visa and married a USC in November of 2007. What would happen if we resend the paperwork monies and all? He sent us postal money orders adn we have to wait 60 days for this info. He should have at least by now received something from USCIS and has not. The jerk ( I went there this evening ) is saying we have to go back and talk to the lady who did the process. MInd you this lady is his wife and he is the owner of the place. I will be placing a complaint however I want to get the answer before I send the complaint in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Talk to the lady who actually filed the paperwork. Ask for a complete copy of the packet that she sent. I can't tell if the delay is still part of the receipting delays or if they actually failed to file. I would wait a couple more weeks before filing again. It might cause problems if there are two AOS applications for the same person.

Oh how I wish I could speak to the lady, She does not answer. I went with my Nephew on Saturday she was not there her husband ( and owner of the place ) was. What a trauma he threatened to call the police on me and everything. Had my nephew ( who is out of status ) not been with me I would have more than happliy spoken to the police about this place. I will try again today and send a certified letter to her. He supposedly filed ( this is what she told him ) on 1/23/08 and still nothing in the mail what so ever. I guess we will try again. We really want him to have the ability to work etc and without any notification we are afraid the stuff was never sent. On top of that she had him file the wrong fees. On top of the 1010 and the 355 she had him do a money order for 340 for the 765 which we all know is already included in the AOS for 1010. thanks

At this point in time, ask USCIS. Make an appointment with the local USCIS office and ask them for help.

Explain your case and ask if your case has been received.

That lady seemed to be a crook, sorry that your nephew and you have to deal with that.

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

Well I spoke to this women and she says she is going to report me for harrasment , what a laugh. She is going to let INS know about this with the emails I sent to her requesting information. Non Threating what so ever. On top of all of this she says she miss placed the receipt for the mail. Yeah Right. oh and get this she says that all applications for AOS need to have a second fee sent for the I-765, what planet is she from? I am going to have my nephew call USCIS and see if he can get any info. I will also have him send a certified letter to this person to get all the paperwork this woman has and go from there. Too bad he did not listent o me in the first place and seek the help of VJ. I gave him the address and everything but hindsight does not help now.
