Based on the current polls from what I have seen McCain beats Clinton in the electoral college.

That is using the state polls and assigning the electors like it would really happen. In this case McCain beats her easily

You do read what you post, right? Because that (top) poll shows Clinton AHEAD of McCain +1.7. Two others show her ahead as well & one has them tied.

You cannot deny (however unfortunate or irrational some of it may be) that a great number of voters really despise Hillary (both Clintons actually). And while that shouldn't be a basis alone for choosing which is the stronger candidate, the DNC as well as Super Delegates will factor that into the equation. We need Republican and Independants voting for the Democratic nominee if we are going to win the White House. Every Democratic strategist would agree with that.

Early on in this race, I was hoping that maybe Hillary would be able to change some people's perception of her, but her style of campaigning has only reaffirmed those very reasons why so many despise her as a politician. She comes across as someone who do just about anything to win and for many voters, that's a huge turnoff. Perception is what it is and Hillary takes some responsibility for those negative perceptions about her.

I'm sorry but I don't see Obama being second fiddle to a dirty politician like Hillary who will stoop down to anything just to attain power..I don't even wanna see Hillary as the VP candidate.

If Obama losses the nomination..then oh well...I'm sorry to say that I will not be voting this year...I bet a lot of democratic voters would feel the same way...I've seen enough clintons..they were good in the 90's but it's time to move on. I've had enough bushes & clintons in my lifetime.

HILLARY's experience in the whitehouse she said is critical..but I don't even know why she claims to have experience....She wasn't the president.

If a CEO has work for the company for 10 years, and the wife was living with the man for 10 years..does that mean she also have 10 years experience? Think about it guys.

I don't get the "not voting" thing. You don't vote - then you don't have a voice, and you can't really complain about what you get.

At least if you vote for an independent, or indeed for Mickey Mouse - your vote is actually counted.

I didn't say I'm not voting..what I meant was I would not be a part of putting somebody in the office if that politician doesn't have the same beliefs that I do..THAT is if it comes down between McCain or Hillary. But since there is that OTHER section..then I will put Ron Paul's name if Obama isnt nominated..hehe.

There have been polls specifically on the negative views of Hillary voters have and that negativity (part of it at least) carries over from Bill Clinton's Presidency. GW Bush had the same issue going into the 2004 elections, but Rove's strategy (which was successful) was to divide and conquer. If Bill were running again, he'd have the same problem. Obama on the other hand has shown a very low negative feelings about him among Republicans and Independants.

I don't see this primary run stopping until the convention. If the polls are correct Clinton leads by 12 points in Pennsylvania so shes gonna pick up a lot of delegates there. She's certainly going to want to hold out to see- and that's in late April! Then, Obama, who will still have the lead, will obvioiusly not back down AND he's got North Carolina in MAY to offset most of those Pennsylvania delegates with an almost sure majority of the 134 delegates where he currently has an 8 point lead.

The math doesn't work for Clinton. The remaining uncommitted super delegates would almost all have to break stride with their states' electorate in order for her to win, and that would tear the party apart. Troll is wrong!

Even if Hillary were to win the remaining Primaries by a 20 point margin (which isn't going to happen), Obama will still have more delegates. Realistically, she won't get any closer than about 70 delegates to Obama by my estimates. So all she could hope for is to convince the DNC and the Super Delegates that despite Obama winning both the popular vote and the most delegates, she somehow deserves to be nominee instead. It's quite delusional really, but not surprising. She's not going to give up until the very end, but in the end her delusion of hoping to win will only cause Super Delegates to swing over to Obama.

He's just got to not rub her nose in those facts, answer whatever allegations she throws at him and he's got the nomination.
