Bill Clinton Says joint ticket would be "unstoppable"

Bill Clinton said Saturday in Mississippi that a joint ticket between his wife and Barack Obama would be an "unstoppable force."

...

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a Clinton supporter, also says he’d support a Clinton-Obama ticket.

I'm wondering...just speculation of course, but I'm wondering if this is calculating as to reach out to Independents and Democrats that would consider voting for Obama in the Primary, but would instead vote for Hillary to put her closer in the race to where Obama would 'have no choice' but accept being on ticket with her, meanwhile Clinton's campaign would fight for top spot on that ticket? They might be thinking this would send a message to Super Delegates as well....look, the people want us both on the ticket.

and that's a bad idea because? Clearly there is a great deal of support for both candidates or there would be a clear winner already or are you suggesting that there is no support for Clinton that isn't somehow co-orced or brought about by 'unethical' means?

Maybe, but would she consider a Obama/Clinton ticket?

If they had sense, and politicians don't, but Clinton/Obama would give them a very good chance of sewing up a Democratic Presidency for the next 16 years. I don't see that being anything like such a certainty the other way around, based purely on their respective ages.

I'm sorry but I don't see Obama being second fiddle to a dirty politician like Hillary who will stoop down to anything just to attain power..I don't even wanna see Hillary as the VP candidate.

If Obama losses the nomination..then oh well...I'm sorry to say that I will not be voting this year...I bet a lot of democratic voters would feel the same way...I've seen enough clintons..they were good in the 90's but it's time to move on. I've had enough bushes & clintons in my lifetime.

HILLARY's experience in the whitehouse she said is critical..but I don't even know why she claims to have experience....She wasn't the president.

If a CEO has work for the company for 10 years, and the wife was living with the man for 10 years..does that mean she also have 10 years experience? Think about it guys.

Just to obtain power? For what purpose? To be able to sit in the Whitehouse and host tea parties?

I am sorry to say I don't get the, "if I can't have the candidate I want I am not going to vote" approach. The elections are still taking place whether your preferred candidate is there or not, there will be a new president and being enfranchised is such an enourmous responsibility, to just sit at home seems like cutting off one's nose to spite one's face behaviour. Of course, it's a free country and that's your choice, but if I had the vote I would use it.

I have often been in a position where I had to choose the least objectionable candidate as apposed to the one I would rave over, that's how it goes but I have never taken the attitude that it's better to not vote.

First of all..I don't know how you got that "APPROACH"..I know voting is a privelege, I would have voted for Ron Paul if he had won the nomination, (yes i'm an independent voter just because we have the same beliefs)..OBAMA is just an alternative..But, you already made your comment. and that's your position..but this is mine..you cannot change people minds..I would rather not be a part of someone getting the highest post in Washington if it meant seating one of the most despicable politician in the world. I will not vote for Hillary even if she is the nominee for Democrats..because I believe that if the person doesn't have same values as you..then you shouldn't give them a pat in the back..simple as that..A LOT OF PEOPLE are going to be disenfranchised if Hillary wins. A low democartic turn-out in Nov. if hillary is the nominee..McCain can beat her easily.

No one is disenfranchised if Hilary wins. There are three options on the ballot, vote for either of the candidates or spoil the ballot paper. If you prefer McCain's politics to Hilary's then vote McCain. I have always understsood that the spoiled ballot is the proper way to register discontent with your candidates, not staying at home.

Besides that, there's usually an independant candidate on the ballot you can go for.

Or write in your Mother or something.

But don't stay home. Vote.

Good point..I wonder if a Ron Paul vote would count for OBAMA?

I'm sorry for venting but Hillary has really soured on me this election year..she really went to the deepest end of this silly politics.:lol:
