I was just curious if we were on the same boat here...these are the type of things that I wear in public and I consider them my comfy clothes or PJs

There's absolutely nothing wrong with wearing those pants to the store and I hope you continue to do so until you're 89 years old. Once past 90 you gotta switch to the support pants.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wearing these to the store or something. But I also think that a person's shape can make these acceptable anywhere or nowhere. You've all seen what I mean, I'm sure. If you are wearing these pants, it means you most likely can wear these pants.

Over the last couple of years or so I've noticed young girls walking around the street in pajama bottoms.Is it just me or is this tacky ?

We did this in highschool plaid flannel pj pants.. when grunge was in.. last time I checked grunge hadnt made a comeback lol

Personally would I wear PJs outside the house? Nope.

Do I think that the clothes Amber posted are inappropriate for outdoor use? Nope, not the ones she posted. I class those as gym clothes and you often saw people wearing them in the UK too.

Now, actual baggy PJs, with patterns on them and which are most obviously designed to be slept in? Definitely not acceptable.

I wish salwar kameez would go mainstream - I wear them every day. I don't even get stared at by the Punjabi grandmas in my 'hood anymore. They are as comfortable as PJs but depending on the cut, fabric and color can be sexy, businesslike or dressy. 'Pajama' originated in India after all.

Interesting to hear everyone's input. I kinda agree with Jason when he says not everyone looks good wearing these type of clothes. Kinda like not everyone looks good wearing spandex

those bosses let so much go. probably to keep from getting a hassle from the union. there was even this one girl who yes was very pretty and had a great body..probably implants cuz they were just too perfect to be real who would basicaly come almost naked and believe it or not even men were offended by her clothes and would pull her aside and tell her...come on now we are in a factory u cant be dressed like that. but the bosses never would say anything.

never noticed anyone recently doing that here in orange county or in NYC last year.

I've seen it here at our local Tarzhey, and it wasn't early morning or late at night.

There was a time where people had this quaint notion that you show respect to other members of society by the clothing you choose to wear in public.
