I've been known to wander around the neighbourhood in my jammies a few times. It drives my husband absolutely crazy, but I just don't care :P If its laundry day and the dogs need to go out for a walk and I've got on my flannel pjs, that's how I go out. its not lik I'm going to meet the President or something, I'm just going to walk the dang dogs!

I've done this since I was a kid, pretty much everyone in my neighbourhood where I grew up did. Adults and kids alike. Not dressed yet and need to go check the mail, go ahead, walk up the street! Not dressed yet and want to go to your friend's house for a cuppa, go ahead, they're not dressed yet either. Stoned on 'shrooms and got the munchies? Go ahead, have someone drive you into town (don't drive stoned!) to get subs! ;)

Between the fight about the PJ's and extremely tight/baggy clothes at our high school...I just wish we had school uniforms...would settle the situation all around...

I'm in my PJ's right now, but that's because I'm in my apt.; if I wnt out, I would change...pj's outside are tacky, but I can only control myself...

Personally, I wouldn't wear pajama pants out of the house, but it's also not something that really gets me worked up if other people do it. They're covered, it looks like #######, but they're not dressing up for me, I expect, so who cares?

Some people don't go out with the desire to please other people with their dress code, or really care about what a bunch of strangers may think of their fashion choices... And I'm sure to some, the "outdoor clothes" that some deem fashionable look bad, too.

Y'all might find this interesting... My almost 16 year old daughter told me they now have some blaze orange and hot pink mix gender neutral oversized official "school clothes" (as in that phrase is boldly written on the front) at her high school. If you come dressed inappropriately (PJs included), you are forced to don them for the day.

Exactly! :) It's not like I do it often or anything like that....but I find I look at least as good as some of the people (if I bother to notice) in "regular clothes"...at least around here. It's just not the fashion capitol of the world here. ;) If I were from where Craig is...an hour south of London...or a big town or something...I would probably still run outside like that, but not GO anywhere in them. It's just a matter of perspective I guess... M.

They would have to be some really hot PJ's for someone to walk around the fashionable parts of LA in them, that's for sure. Honestly, I feel dowdy in my best clothes sometimes, although being English, I don't really care enough to let this worry me.:lol:

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I was just curious if we were on the same boat here...these are the type of things that I wear in public and I consider them my comfy clothes or PJs

i would consider them not-streetwear :)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with wearing those pants to the store and I hope you continue to do so until you're 89 years old. Once past 90 you gotta switch to the support pants.

:P;)

People in most other countries wouldn't wear that out of the house. I guess I wouldn't, either, except... occasionally. Like around the corner to the grocery store. I try to make it look like I'm on the way from the gym or something. :P
