Oh, you fuddy-duddies!

When I was a senior in high school in suburban Boston, a specific style of pajama bottoms with vertical stripes was all the rage, especially when paired with Converse Chucks. And there is photo proof that I succumbed to this. Silly, but it sure was comfy!

I have to say, in terms of egregious fashion offenses among teenage girls, wearing pajama bottoms is hardly the worst.

I saw a lot of girls going to class in PJs when I was in college too. Then again, that was when grunge was at the peak of its popularity--flannel and all that--and the sloppier, the better.

It is not just you... I'm really tired of women (young and old) out in public with PJ bottoms and bedroom slippers. Same goes for men... Outgrown the jeans and can't bend over with their big pot bellies to tie their own shoes so they put on sweat pants and slippers. Our obese nation continues to grow each and every day.

Oh--by "young girls" I figured you meant teenagers.

I have an exceptionally high tolerance for bad dress, I think. I have negative fashion sense myself, so I can't really throw stones. However, I must say I cringe when I see the occasional pudgy middle-aged guy with sweatpants and crocs. Especially orange crocs.

A lot of men wear old sweatpants to bed, so I feel they are pretty much the same as a lady in PJ bottoms. Saw one yesterday. Old sweatpants, slippers and a cart full of junk food.

Unfortunately, central and southeast Arizona seems to be croc central because it's sandals weather more or less year round. And lots of chimichangas and beer. And snowbirds from the Midwest in their shorts with sparkly white legs seem to like them. It all adds up to a horrifying spectacle! And now that spring training has started, they multiply by the day!

I actually don't object to all crocs. My sister has a pair of black ones, and if you wear them with dark socks, they look more or less like clogs.
