Any one have additional information on the NVC?

Email response received today from NVC stating my petition (purportedly sent by CSC to NVC on Mar 13) has not yet arrived NVC. Looks like that bus has slowed a bit from the earlier 2-3 days to get to NVC.

Here's their email:

Your inquiry indicates that the approved petition has been forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC) for processing. The NVC has not yet received this petition from CIS (Citizenship and Immigration Services).

Yes, both my I-130 and my I-129F got approved. The one thing I noticed is that they seem to be going by the date of your I-129F and not the date of your I-130. In other words... your case is not even outside their processing times!! It should get approved soon!!

Nita,

They are using the Priority Date(Received Date) for the I-130 to determine processing order. If you look at the following link, you'll see that that the NOA1 dates are all over the place.

The only thing that correlates at all between most of the recently approved cases is that I-130 Sent Date. They are mostly from July and August with a sprinkling of June and September, whereas the NOA1 for the I-129F is everywhere from July to January.

Obviously, different cases will have different processing times and I'm sure some end up getting processed out of order, but they seem to be sticking to the I-130 Priority Date, as many have been told by USCIS.

You would have to look at the official USCIS Processing Dates for the I-130 to see if you are outside the current estimates. There are no published Processing Dates for the I-129F when used for a K-3.

I just looked at your timeline and the USCIS processing dates. Your case is pretty unique since it appears that you originally filed as Resident and then upgraded to US citizen for the I-130. Your 11/06 date doesn't mean much since LPR I-130s can take many years and follow a completely different set of rules.

Since you upgraded in July 2007, I suspect that your Priority Date would be somewhere around there. This being the case, you should have already had that processed. The current I-130 Processing Date in the link below is July 26, 2007. However, this list was published 2/15 and is therefore over a month old. You might think about doing another service request or a congressional inquiry. It may be that they are processing your case now, but since it was a somewhat unique situation, you should stay on top of them so they don't mess something up. Keep an eye on the processing times link as it should be updated in the next few days.

I-130. And I have my congressman looking into it since November 2007. I don't know, I am hoping and Praying so hard that we get an approval soon. I was touched again today with my I-130 but not my K-3 Visa, so who knows... ALL these touches are driving me CRAZY But I guess at least there is activity, if that means anything.
