This thread was created for anyone who receives a Notice of action on a I129F petition. There are several people who were told that their I129F petition has been administratively close, because they received an approval on their I130 petition. This changed the route from I129F/K3 to a I130 CR1. Once you change your time line to represent the CR1 there is no spot for the I129F NOA2

*IF you receive a notice of action after you were told that your I129F petition was closed or approved, I would like to hear from you.

*Disclaimer Please do not make any decision on your visa process on the merits of this chart. This is what VJ users have claimed in their VisaJourney timelines. I just cut an past the information to be tracked and updated as I discover more information.

In the mean time I am starting a Timeline for Approved I129f petitions. NOA1 = First Notice of Action Sent was when the petition was sent. The receipt date or priority date should be some place in between.

Hi Lurking,

I think this thread is a good idea, but to avoid confusing people your list should contain only couples whose SENT date for the I-129F is 8/1/07 or later so that we can be sure that those couples paid no fee for the I-129F. I do support your efforts to keep track of new K-3 approvals.

Can you please correct my NOA2 here...it should be 03/07/08, not 03/07/07, although I certainly wish it was the latter :)

Timeline estimated adjudication on March 4, 2008. It was adjudicated on April 23.

Our I-130 was approved in 258 days.

I-129F

09/oct/2007 - I-129F Packet sent to CSC

10/oct/2007 - I-129F Packet received

12/oct/2007 - NOA1 receipt date

20/oct/2007 - NOA1 received

23/apr/2008 - APPROVED

Timeline estimated adjudication on April 4, 2008. It was adjudicated on April 23.

Our I-129f was approved in 197 days.

NVC

08/may/2008 - replied to my e-mail sent on april 30, saying that our petition has been sent to the consulate.

Consulate

20/JUN/2008 - Interview - APPROVED!!!

AOS

18/mar/2009 - Packet delivered

24/mar/2009 - NOA for AOS and EAD date

25/mar/2009 - Check cashed

15/apr/2009 - Biometrics done

I am here to confirm that, while not approved, exactly 6 months after NOA1 of my I-129F,

it certainly appears not to have been cancelled. That in itself would indicate that there is

some life left in the K-3, although the vital signs are not very encouraging right now. FWIW

I do have a case number from NVC, apparently issued when my I-130 petition was approved

last Sept. Did that maybe indicate that there should not be any expectation for action on the

I-129F? Oh, sometimes this all is just too confusing to me.

1-16-09 green card arrives

1-27-09 SSN card in mail

Yeah.......any I129f approvals from vermont??? Mine certainly has not come yet. And I believe we are long overdue.

Still waiting for NOA2 for both petitions, preferably the I129F.

We are almost into our 8th month of waiting. Both petitions were sent to VSC in July.

It has been eight (8) months since the chaos and flood of petitions overwhelmed the USCIS centers during June and July of 2007.

My question is this: How many folks who mailed in a K-3 petition (the I-130 form followed by the I-129F form) on or after August 1, 2007 have gone to the interview phase (wife going to consulate interview)? I mean, the K-3 petition is supposed to expedite bringing your husband or wife to the USA while he/she waits for AOS, and 8 long months have gone by...so where are the K-3 visas?

Frankly, I don't care if 1,000 people had their K-3 "approved" by the USCIS since August...I want to see who has successfully gone through the entire process up to and including the NVC process and getting an interview date at a consulate.

Friends, it's March 10, 2008...a long time since August 2007. Where are the completed K-3s? Where are the folks who have even gone through the NVC with their I-129Fs? Where are the NVC case numbers for anyone's I-129F since August 1, 2007?

Show me some meaningful data...not wish lists.
