Good luck, Ana! :) Hope everything goes well, and that you can join Jeff in the US soon!

Tomorrow I'll try to sort out that problem with the birth cert... If I can't, I suppose I'll have to schedule the interview after Oct 18. In a way, having it (or rather the medical) on Oct 20 would be nice, because it will be the second anniversary of our first meeting in person... At any rate, I'll need the extra time if all else fails, since I have a lot of affairs to take care of - and now, as if everything else wasn't enough, I have my aunt's inheritance matters to take care of. I'll have to travel down south again on Sunday - not bad per se, as the place is beautiful, but I am a bit tired these days, and the journey is some 5 hours long!

Hey guys..

Thought I`d drop by one more time.

It has been pretty busy over here. Eric and I got officially married last Friday (just a courthouse wedding, since

we already had a really nice ceremony and party in Belgium)

So I just went to the courthouse to pick up our marriage certificate and applied for my social security number too.

With my new name :star:

Still have to get used to being a Mrs instead of a Ms, but it sure feels great!

Have all the paperwork for the AOS in front of me, so here we go again!

Getting pretty good at this

Hope everybody is being reunited with their loved ones soon and

can start enjoying all those lovely moments together!

Saw there were a bunch of approvals and a lot of interview dates!!!

Big kiss

Dutti

ps; We adopted a the cutest doggie in the world, Scoop, so our little family is already expanding here

Hi everybody!

Ana, glad you finished the doctor appointment and are set for the interview. Yay!

Dutti---Already married...WOW. Congratulations :star: I love all these progress reports. So much different than when we were all waiting and waiting. Best of wishes for great times together.

Baby Nico is so cute!!! I want to hold him. I've never seen a blond newborn with hair. Mine were bald for at least 18 months. I remember watching that little guy grow...well with the timeline graphic in your signature. Congratulations Steph. :star::star:

Well I just thought I should drop in as well and share our progress report since it's been so great reading all of yours!!

I moved back to the US on August 2nd and time has just been flying by. I started back to work right away so that is helping the time go by quickly. Not to mention the MILLIONS of things I have to do to set up my (and our) life here again, including finding a place to live! I'm happy to report that I think I found an apartment today. Just waiting for the formalities and credit check to go through but that should all be fine. And for the even better news..... We found out on Wednesday that Lute's interview is on SEPT 3RD!!!!!!!! It's way sooner than we were expecting so now I am SO thankful that I did everything early and took care of most of it while I was still in Thailand. Now I'm just preparing the affidavit of support documents and will send the final packet of stuff he needs for the interview to him on Monday. It is really a relief knowing this will all be over soon and that I think the worst is all behind us now. I'm thrilled he will be here by September so now we can start planning our wedding for October when at least the weather will still be relatively nice around here. :)

well, it's great to hear how you guys are all progressing so far as well. Congrats to all of you where it is due and Hang in There for anyone so close they can taste it!!!! Everything will come together soon.

Hi to all my fellow March filers. Glad to hear that things are progressing so well for all my fellow travelers. I have just sent back packet 3 to London . Actually I sent it two weeks ago from Vermont, telling them that I was currently in Vt and asking them to send my interview date here but instead my dear old dad in the UK has received a letter for me in the UK. Hopefully this is my appointment at the UK embassy but I have a few frustrating days until the snail mail gets here ;-(. Does anyone have any idea how long the London embassy is taking to crank out appointments??

By the way I am sorry that I have not made my statistical contribution by updating our timeline but the system will not let me do so for some reason.

Good luck to everyone here

John

Hi John-- you can call the DOS on Monday and they will know your appointment date/time so you don't have to wait on the snail mail. You will need the appointment letter to get in the Embassy, so don't leave it in America. (202) 663-1225, press 1, then 0.

Is your timeline under a different email address? I messed mine up when I started it because I logged in under my other email and ended up with two. Capt Ewok straightened it out for me.

Hey Jessica~~Glad you dropped in and gave an update. Just a week and a half now 'til interview. So very close to that visa in hand!! You must be really swamped with moving overseas yourself, starting a new job, apartment shopping and finalizing docs for Lute. Hang in there girl.

:star:And my exciting news of the day.:star:

Nick has finally booked his ticket to America. He's coming Sept 30, so finally I have a real date to count down to. I'm thinking about marriage on October 5. That's halfway between our birthdays, so we thought that might be nice....another 5th of the month to celebrate. If that's going to be it, then I need to plan a little Sunday afternoon party or something. The courthouse is closed, but I know 3 county judges personally and wouldn't mind asking one of them for a little time that afternoon. Now where will it be? Hmmm....well it's a start and something to think about now that I know when he will arrive. Yippeeee. I am so happy and it's starting to feel even more REAL.

can't believe how much good news everybody has!

Steph congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nico is absolutely gorgeous!!! I am happy that you will all be together soon and you and the baby are doing well!

We will be thinking about you tomorrow Ana! Can't wait for your update ;)

Congratulations on your marriage Duti! You guys are really moving!

And I am so glad to hear everybody's updates!

Looks like most of you will be married before me...:D

We kind of took our time and enjoyed this past month. and it is time to do some planning now. Nich, we might actually get married around the same date! isn't that exciting? :D I will let you guys know when we know for sure. It will be something small anyway. And next year we will have a bigger thing back in Romania.

Jessica and Kim... your wait is almost over and everybody else is soooo close now!

It is unbelieveble how things have evolved in the last couple months. A while ago we were all whining and dtressing and becoming more impatient as the days went by... And now some are already married and some one step away from it!

Congratulations everyone! We all deserve it ;)
