Ana... i'm so sorry your love is off to home but very soon you will be together for good! Happy thoughts my friend. :) We're hanging in there...by a thread! :( Football season has begun again....i'm a HUGE pats fan but last time we were together was superbowl weekend...bittersweet. :( I do hope it's very soon for us. Keeping my glass half full!

Alina, glad you're feeling better sweetheart. Don't worry about what the masses have to say... they'll talk about anything! You just be your sweet self and everything else will fall into place. :) WOW! 900 people??? You have fun with that!

Yes, our ms Bex must be having a grand ole time with her love and her new life in America. I'm happy for her!.. and ok, maybe a bit envious. ;)

Have a great weekend march!

Hey March~

Mommy Nic has made it back over the pond to Texas. Yesterday was a long day, but my 2 cats welcomed me home with furry arms. I had a great time and it was fun to be able to go to the Embassy and see the visa and share the experience.

Ana, you are going so soon! Are you going crazy getting it all organized? That must be hard getting all your interview things and things you're going on to America with lined out. Good luck sweetheart.

Alina, maybe the friend wasn't really trash talking you. Maybe she was just explaining the process...you know.. that you get to stay, but have a time limit for the marriage to meet all the requirements. My friends want to know how it works since most people aren't familiar with the process or how much red tape you have to go through to immigrate. She was probably happy for you and wanted to share the news. Give her another chance and don't get upset by it.

Kim, darn it, I want you to get that approval so bad!!!! You're doing a good job of being positive. VSC is kinda all over the place lately datewise. Can you believe CSC has some mid-April approvals?? The time frame just ebbs and flows so much that you can't base your plan on what's happening to people getting approvals around the time you file. It could be shorter or longer. When we filed, I was looking at those people celebrating NOA2s in 18-20 days. Geez! Didn't happen like that for us and made the wait seem like an eternity.

Well I should go unpack or maybe take a nap. I'm still on British time and got up at 2:30 am. I needed a much longer sleep because yesterday was about a 22 hour day by the time I went to bed. Then I only slept 3-4 hours??? Stupid!

Hi evebody I am doing ok but now awesome... yesterday I was leaving to pilates class on my mom's car because I already sold mine, and there is this light in the corner of my house. So when I left was on red light I stoped and waited the light to open the bus on the street that was crossing the light was stoped and when the light was green and I was crossing the street this crazy insane motorcycle guy crossed the red lights and hited right on my door =( I was scared I felt awfull I just started crying and crying the guy is ok (thank god) but he is probably not oging to pay for anything I am going tohave to pay my had just bought this car and didn't even have insurance yet I have been helping her to pay. It was awfull I was just saved by the side door metal bar that absorved the impact and broke the guys motorcycle wheel. and my cute face was saved for the fact that my glass was closed otherwise his handle bars would had hited right on my face. I don't know that was awfull it was the scariest thing ever. I don't even know how to describe. =(

anyway Ia m a kind of sad happy because I didn't get much hurted only some scratches from the broken glass. There is the picture. I don't know laltely I was complaining with my mom about the traffic here in my city seriously people here does not respect traffic laws, and those motorcycle guys drive like crazy. 2 years ago pretty much the same thing happened to me but it was a bicycle and hited on my car another cost for the driver because the law here only protect the "poors"motorcycle driver. I wish the they motorcycle could all explode and they should just walk all over the place and don't put opther people like in dangeours. I already lost my dad in a car accident get into it was jsut hte worst experience. I Can't wait to leave =(

Hey Marchies.

Sorry I haven't been around much. Alan's friend has been working in the area and getting off at lunch so we have spent most of our afternoons hanging out. What I really mean is I have been telling him where I NEED to go and he has been driving me there. Including "The Taste of Britain" store!Alan and his Dad had a rib-off yesterday. I honestly don't see how it can be a real competition as long as there are ribs everyone wins. Had a real case of home sickness yesterday, just wanted my Dad. Sundays were always daddy daughter day and it was hard to see Alan cooking outside with his pa knowing that things between me and my dad are so different now. Alan is being so supportive though and his parents were super cute yesterday when they heard I was upset too. I'm marrying into the best possible family for me. It's my birthday on Saturday and thats going to be pretty hard without my family,I'm used to getting lots of presents and being made a fuss of. Not really sure how this one will go, I'm not adverse to change I'm just a bit sick of so much change all at once.

I applied for my social security number on friday. It was easy peasy. I took a few things from the visa packet with me but she never looked at anything, not even my birth certificate, just the passport. I was told that it will take two weeks to come in the mail but I'm sure it will be sooner. Whilst I was filling in the paperwork I noticed she had entered me into the system as "legal alien allowed to work" I asked her if this was correct and she said yes. So then very confused I asked her what it would say on my ss card and she said "subject to verification" so I asked what verification was and she said my visa. But on the back of my !-94 it warns me of the ramification of working on a visa which does not authorize me to do so. I was so very confused when I left. I've thought about it some more and decided that sadly she is the confused one, I hate working with government agencies, how can it be right that the person walking through the door knows more about the process than the adviser sitting at the desk! Oh well I'm looking forward to getting the card/number so I can start opening up store cards! woohoo.

Ana sweetheart its good to hear that you are ok! I get so mad with people who drive recklessly, we were following some people home from the gun show (yes we went to the gun show) on Saturday and they were having a full on war with the car next to them for a good 5 mile stretch. Not only was it dangerous for the four men in the cars but they were swerving all over the road and hard breaking without warning. Theres always a cop around when you are going 3 miles ove the limit but wasn't one in sight whilst all of this was going on. i'm glad that your safe, thats the most important thing, will be sending you some good vibes that it works out.

Aline hun I'm sure your friend didn't intend on upsetting you in this way. The whole process is difficult to explain and she only knows the parts that you have told her. I hate telling people that we have to marry in a set time and we have to have interview to proove ourselves but it is becoming something of a joke between the family now and the more people see us together and how much we love each other the more comfortable everyone is with the system. I hope your feeling a bit better about it all. What are you enjoying the most about being here ... other than Lee!

Mommy Nic, its nice to know that you are safely home and that papa Nick will be with you soon. Did the hurricane avoid your area in the end?

Kim!! I'm sorry your still waiting! Whats going on at USCIS right now? Do you have any trips planned so you can get that snuggle or are you guys riding it out? Am hoping and wishing you hear something soon.

Lots of love and best wishes to everyone

Bex xxx

Hi Bex, good to hear from you. :) No idea what's going on at uscis... nothing it seems. :( NZ is at least a couple thousand r/t and 20+ hours of just flight time so we aren't planning on any visits. Once the NOA2 comes it will only be a few short weeks until the interview if that, so we're holding out. By the time he gets home it will be one full year we've been apart (w/1 - 3 week visit). :( It's torture really. :(

Hey everybody.

Ana--OUCH--that was a mean crunch in the car door. So glad your cute face was spared. Too bad you have to spend money right now on somebody else's carelessness.

Well Bex, you are a true Southerner...gun shows and ribs. LOL

I'm glad Alan has such a sweet family. That has to help alot to make you feel a little better. But I understand how homesick you must feel. When are you going to start driving?

Kim is getting approved this week.

Hi Stevi---

Good to see you! Looks like you're making good progress. I guess you're waiting on P3 to be delivered to your fiance. I have a whole packet 3 from London scanned that I can share with you and him if you send me email addresses in a PM. Then save them to your computer, or print and use them. There's alot of pages because it includes the medical info too. It's more than can be posted on VJ so it's on MSN Sky Drive and I have to put in your email address to allow you access. Good luck on finishing up the process soon.

And YES, we are all hoping for Kim's approval this week. Please VSC!!

Waiting on the Packet 3 from Montreal is almost as nerve-wracking as the NOA2 :)

I've sent her all my documents and she's got everything in order except her medical in Halifax and her passport photos (5 right?).

Here's to hoping it comes this week and she can send it back right away.
