I was also approved today. I was at work and generally don't check my e-mail, but I figured it was worth a shot. Saw "CRIS" or something in the From area and immediately perked up. Checked it and case status was approved :D Looks like someone finally did their stack of paperwork at VSC. Congrats!

Hmm, did a little searching, but when making another letter of intent (as per the Guides page), I had the To: as the VSC address.

On the 2nd one, should I just omit that To: field or should I put the Montreal embassy or State Department? Just wondering.

:dance::dance: Congratulations Justin :dance::dance:

Feels good doesn't it, just to get your mind on something else, like the next step?

Address your new letter of intent:

Embassy of the United States of America

1155 rue St-Alexandré

Montréal, Québec

H3B 1Z1

That's the official street location. The mailing address is:

Post Office Box 65

Postal Station Desjardins

Montréal

Québec H5B 1G1

Canada

Since you're not actually mailing it, but including in the interview packet, I think you could use either address because it's more of about proper business letter etiquette than getting to them in the mail. I copied those from the Embassy info. Links in the blue menu bar at the top of the page if you haven't read that before. Good information.

Congratulations to the new approvals! I wish you all the best, I really do.

As for us, if by the time Michael is ready to leave here we haven't received anything, I'm going to ask him to cancel our petition and move here. I can't face wasting any more time. Our life here won't be easy (not going into detail... suffice it to say that it would be next to impossible for him to get a job, and he has to pay support to three children), but at least we will be together.

Thanks for all the Congrats, guys!! And Congratulations to Danielle-Justin as well!!!

I have to admit it's a pretty great feeling to know things can finally move ahead. I have just over 2 weeks left before I have to move back to the US so I am in a whirlwind of preparing, planning, and packing!! The time just slipped away while waiting for the NOA2 and now all of a sudden it's time to go. I feel like there is a lot to do before I leave, but I guess a lot of things are under control. Now I need to prepare Packet 3 and think about what else we need for the visa. All good stuff!

Hope things move speedily for those still waiting!

Highway Star: I'm really sorry you don't think it's going to work out for you. It sounds like you have other personal reasons why you think the petition will fail because the time frame so far just isn't out of the ordinary as I see it. Wish we could cheer you up, but we tried and failed. We seem to have lost Pandora too. And we still miss Erin alot. I hope you have a great visit with Michael and you two work out a plan for living in Italy. If giving up, rather than waiting for an imagined failure gives you peace of mind, then do what you have to do to be happy. Best of luck to you. (L)

I have no reasons to think our petition will fail. Not being a USC, I have no idea of how these things work.... I have read other threads, and I know everything in our petition is in order. Unfortunately, I have a lot on my plate now, and I think everyone knows there are times when you feel weaker and less optimistic. I am sorry if anyone took offense to my words, or thought I was being a wet blanket just for the sake of it.

Congratulations Justin!!

It re-energizes me about getting NOA2 soon and gives me a hope

but at the same time I have to admit that I started to feel scared again to think

what if my petition will never be processed and be left behind

as it seems that there are very few of the March filers left here at VJ.

At this point, my case has not been updated since the first "touch" on April 21 yet.

I hope to be able to laugh at how I am feeling right now after I finally

receive NOA2 and feel better. Right now, I am just feeling whiny again.... :(

Raffaella, did you read the q & a by the former adjuticator? I think it would help calm your nerves some. Because there are a handful with dates after you that have been approved before you means absolutely nothing. Don't give up on the US just yet. ;) Haven't you already said there is nothing for you in Italy??? And nothing for your love. Nobody takes offense to your 'sad' posts it just appears you are somewhat self-defeating and I know I just would like to be able to give you a hug and tell you that it's going to be ok. just a little longer. ;) You need some positive vibes sweetheart! Your time will be soon!

Jessica, I can not wait to get to that stage although, i'll be sitting here in the US while Russell goes and does everything on his end. He's practically packed already (most of his stuff is here) so i'm sure it wont be crazy but hopefully only a matter of a few weeks!

Alexandra... what a beautiful baby!!! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I wanna squishy!

S & D... I noticed a lot of people start to think that way as they get closer to it. I'm not sure where it comes from but it seems common enough to start believing you wont be approved. Protecting your psyche perhaps? Anyway, the NOA2's re-energized me as well! It can't be long now for either of us! good luck!

mama nick.. i'm with you on the wedding. This whole process has just taken so much (and I think the 'italian' in me resents that we are forced to marry in 90 days a little too  ) so I could really care less about when and where right now. I know it will be magical... every moment with his is....and i'm sure it will be lovely but we're going to have to do it again in April for his family...sooooo whatever!

Well March..looks like you're really clearing out now! Keep em comin!
