The tone of this reply isn't anger, but just curiosity. Its strange that our case, like many others with no criminal backgrounds or unusual circumstances, end up taking longer than expected. I can only assume 1 of 100 things occurred, but who knows what exactly is going on. We all are so focused on this immigration due to its closeness to our hearts, but many other aspects of our daily lives take strange turns sometimes, in regards to companies or organizations. Sometimes, it ends up you don't get the tickets you wanted because someone was faster or you get shafted by getting a ticket as they guy next to you keeps on speeding. That might seem vauge, but I'm just saying that in certain situations, we don't take things against us as serious as this immigration. Guess what I am saying is I don't feel slighted, just wish it wasn't so "dark" while I'm waiting here to see my loved one.

By the way, this is Justin doing the posting, I put her first in our username because she is my #1 :)

Dear Tuty,

I am from Israel, too.

Do you knwo what the procedure is, once the consulate in Jerusalem received the package? How soon shall I expect them to contact me, etc??

thank you

Hi there,

We sent our package on Feb 29...they got it in March....so I guess it will be nice finding people in our same timeline...we got the return receip from Vermont and it was signed by P. Novak.

We couldnt see if they cashed the money order yet because they gave us 11 numbers and in the website they only want 10 (western union) weird....we are still waiting for NOA1 everyday in the mail.

Hi, Justin.

I totally understand how you feel. The date of our NOA1 is March 31st as well and I am still waiting for NOA2 with a single

touch on april 21 in my case... So many people whose date of NOA1 is the same date have already received their NOA2

and we are probably the rest that seems to be getting cleared up every day. I wonder what makes such a

big difference in the processing time. Some received NOA2 in early June, some like us are still waiting and it is already July......

It is just not fair at all. I find myself sighing very often. well, let's stay strong and hope that we will all get NOA2 soon, maybe this week!!!

Justin, as we know we're getting closer and others around and even in front of us are getting approved it just gets harder, doesn't it? There's no transparency so we're just left to sit...and wait... and wonder... and want.

It's been 5 months since i've been in the arms of the man I love and we've only had 3 weeks out of the last out of the last 10 months together after sharing years. My glass is as half full as anyone's but, you're right... it's so dark. :(

Our time is coming. :)

S&D... I think that VJ is such a small percentage of filers that we can often see the discrepency's so much clearer. Say an adjuticator picks up a new box from say mid-April when another adjuticator is still working on his/her box from late March/early April. They're working at the same pace, just with the next available box..which just happens to have later filers who will be approved before some earlier ones. With the amount of petitions they get, I doubt it's any easier to control the order better than they are. We're doing a whole lot of signing as well.

We have to believe that it's coming... right now their are adjuticator's working on cases...hopefully clearning out the rest of late March/early April. ;) Here's to some great news tomorrow!!! :)

I hear you, Kim... This time last year I was in the US with Michael, where I spent exactly two months. After I came back in early September, we had to wait until the Xmas holidays to see each other again. We've spent a grand total of 30 days together since the day I left the US... Luckily he's coming here in 10 days for a couple of weeks. I hope we'll get our approval before that. As I already said in an earlier post, the Naples Consulate, while probably one of the easiest in the world as regards interviews and such, seems to take its time in sending papers and arranging interviews... Let's just hope for the best!

Raffaella, I am so glad you get a visit soon! I'm sure it will do you wonders. And knowing you're so close will make it easier leaving each other. I'm happy for you. :)

We had planned another June vacation for me to NZ but when VSC started approving petitions in less than a month (in January/February) we thought we'd be better off saving the 4,000-5,000 it would cost. No regrets, as we've spent umm way too much in travel in the last few years as it is, but it would have done us a world of good.

The NZ consulate is very quick and often you can even expedite the interview so we're really only looking at a few weeks once it's approved here.

Hey March~~

Visits are good, but my honey left to go back to the UK last night. :( Now I just have the cat to hang out with and he's not allowed in restaurants and can't drive, so it's not too great with him. :sleepy:

We had a great visit. He had a fun birthday. We visited with friends and my kids; ate BBQ, hot dogs, and Mexican food; celebrated the 4th of July; and we got several projects done around the house, too. I had to laugh at him Saturday because he was having his leftover fajitas for lunch and brought out the English mustard. It was sort of a British spin on Tex-Mex food.

This time there were no tears at the airport because it won't be too long before he comes back to stay. It's just so exciting to know things are moving along. And maybe no sadness because in 12 days I'm getting on a plane to go to the UK. It's a little crazy, but I wanted to go over for the interview and got a free ticket with frequent flyer miles. Maybe I can help him pack or sort out his stuff.

To all of you March people still waiting. I'm so sorry it's not happening quicker. Kim's bit about the different adjudicators each picking up a box with a different timeframe makes alot of sense. But don't you just wish you could have a look around their work area and make sure they didn't cover up your file with junk and forget about it or drop it off the back of the desk without knowing it? ARRGH!! the frustration of not knowing what's going on is painful.

:dancing: Here's to a new week and hopes that we can celebrate some March filers again.

NICH i am glad you had a great time and i am sure Nick did the same...except for the "projects around the house" part...:D

It is really great that you will be with him for his interview!

RAFAELLA you will enjoy your baby's visit soon and YES you will have your NOA2 by the time he gets there!!! It will charge you up for the rest of your journey :)

I love your list BEX!!!! Especially now that we are on the bottom side of it :)

Do do you plan to leave? Maybe "leave" is not a good word... "move" sounds better ;)

I really wish all those who filed the same time we did had their interview dates by now... It is not fair you guys are still waiting... But i am sure there is nothing wrong with your files...although despair makes you think that way... The good news is that every day that passes brings you closer to your apporval so if you look at it this way...it is not a wasted day :)

I have something planned for each day of next week! i can't believe we are so close... I need to go gift shopping for my American friends...make a trip to the beauty salon :) ...visit my grandparents and say good bye... I won't like the good bye part...

Hope everybody has a nice Sunday evening and much much luck for next week!

We need some more good news!!!!! And it has to come from USCIS!!!!

Whoever mentioned the fact that VJ likely represents a small minority of the true # of K-1/K-3 filers is spot on. I'm sure we represent maybe 1-5% of the total, maybe thats low but you get the idea. As I said before, its not that I'm upset in the slightest way, I just don't like being in the dark on issues that matter a lot to me. Many of us would like to know what our children do in school, what our wives or husbands do at work from time to time, or our bank accounts to make sure money is on the spot. Being "left out of the loop" with immigration is unsettling, but alas, we must continue to be patient.

JUSTIN I am glad that you are having a positive attitude today :)

Let me tell you a little secret!

like all of us, i was being very impatient and worried while waiting for our NOA2.... checking USCIS web site abd Igor's several times a day and all that crazyness... And then one day i decided just to let it be.... Whenever it happens it happens... We have eachother and everything will be fine at the end... kind of attitude... And the very next day we got our approval! :)

And i think the same "i don't give a sh**" attitude towards USCIS helped BEX as well :) Actually she was the one who gave me the tip ;)

I see today you are not far from releaving all that NOA2 stress so just work on it a little more and see what happens :)

but don't tell anyone else! it's a secret.... :secret: shhhhhhhhhhhh..... Did anyone else hear it????? lol.... RAFAELLA...JESSICA???? he he he

I did hear you, Alina... Unfortunately, it's not easy to forget that I am closer to 50 than to 40, and I am concerned about being too old to find a good job when I get there. In most of Europe, people my age are considered too old for the job market, and I don't really see myself being a housewife on a long-term basis. As I said before, more than half of my life is behind me, and wasting so much time like that is really getting to me. Hopefully the approval will come soon, though I am afraid I have lost hope it will be before early August, if not even later.

Good morning. :)

How's it going people who have been awake alot longer than me? Where is Bex? She's been awfully quiet since the interview. I guess she's really focused on packing now or having a meltdown because of panic. Where are you lovely? I see you've posted a :star: WEDDING DATE :star: in your timeline. That's pretty exciting. I often wonder when my wedding date will be. We can't even come up with a vague idea of any wedding plans. He says, "whatever you want" but I wish he would give me some ideas because I don't care. I just want to get married and live happily ever after. Well I know I don't want to get married barefoot on the beach, but that's about it. He thinks Vegas is too trashy. So what to do, what to do??? Oh well, once he makes a plane reservation, then I'll come up with something.

Now for today it's time for the rest of March to get some very positive :idea:VIBES~~~~~

USCIS hasn't forgotten us!!!!!! We got a touch today!!!!! I just checked and my heart totally jumped when, for the first time in nearly three months, I saw today's date in the Last Updated column!!!!! Wow, that was exciting.
