The VSC must be handing out christmas bonuses early this year ;)

I got bored this morning and did a Google-map from the VSC to the NVC, and its only 232 mi, but takes 3-5 days to get there? I could drive that in an afternoon if I tried.

I'm not writing that as a complaint, just a mystery. Here's the link St. Albans, VT to Portsmouth, NH

Question- If you get your NOA1 online before the hardcopy, do you just receive an email to the email you put on the form??? Do they always do this, or only sometimes? Thanks!

10-27-08: Medical Exam

10-28-08: Interview! Approved!

12-20-08: U.S. Entry (POE Chicago)

1-2-09: Marriage

1-27-09: AOS package sent

2-3-09: NOA1 for I-485, I-765, and I-131

2-9-09: RFE received (need more income info. for household member)

2-24-09: Biometrics appoinment

2-25-09: RFE information sent back

I never received an email to the email address I put on the forms for NOA1. I think to get the email updates, you need to register your case number (which can be found on NOA1 hardcopy or the back of the canceled check) at the Case Status Service Online website and supply them with the email address...then you get the email updates.

My check was cashed yesterday. Funny how I usually don't like to see that my checking account has gone down, but in this case I was really happy to see that $455 was gone. haha.

Hi guys!!!!

Well I see that Josh and Nathalie have gotten their NOA1!!!!congrats!!!!! :dance: as I always say: its party time for celebrating at least the small steps we do on this process :) And Caityrose have their check cashed! That means you will have soon your NOA1 on mail :D!!!

I dont have any news about this, we got the NOA on last monday and then we started the waiting time for getting the NOA2. Its hard to think that we will separated for the next few months but we know also that it will worth cause the day that we will be together again, that will be forever :D

Congratulations for those who already filed and got their NOA1 :thumbs: .i was checking the timelines of those vermont applicants and was so surprised that they got their approval faster and the others already have their interview sched in just 4mos after they applied.WOW!i wish CSC will be like that too.I cant help it but i always check our status everyday even if it's Sunday :P waiting for them to at least "touch" it but to no avail yet :( anyways,i wish us all good luck and may we hear from them sooner than we are expecting them. :)

My I-129F petition was delivered to VSC yesterday (3/31/08) so now I will be obsessively checking my bank account all week to see if my check gets cashed! Then hopefully I can get the receipt number off the check and sign up for USCIS email updates. After that, there won't be much more I can do but wait...
