Hi everyone,

While I am very happy for all of these March approvals, it is a bit depressing seeing my name as one of the last few couples left... Well.. I guess someone has to be last in every bunch.. :(

My inside source at USCIS informed me that my case was picked up for further screening after an "issue" came up regarding my immigration process being that I am a naturalized citizen... something came up regarding how I got here.. which I think its so frustrating given that I am Naturalized and they had to do all these checks when I went through that process so you would think they would already have that information in their systems.

On the other hand, my relationship has hit a rough patch.. so I guess the extra wait is helping us work through our problems.. I GUESS

Good luck to those March couples still waiting.. hope this is your week :star:

i really feel for all of you still waiting... But the good news is there will be a happy day for everyone!

we know what we are waiting for and after all this is over our lives will take a new and happy turn...

God will give us all the strenght to get through this :)

as i said in my earlier post, i woke up all stressed and worried for my interview on Thursday but i feel so much better now. i am trying not to let my mind slip to some dark corners...and think that what is meant to be will be. and i already know that what happend so far happend for a reason and the reason is

Alina + Lee = Loooove

Yea it certainly is depressing. I'm hoping for this week being a "good news" week.

Just outta curiosity, once I pass my predicted adjudication window (which I know is only an assumption), is it "safe" to call USCIS to inquire about my case?

^^ Danielle-Justin - I think it's definitely worth calling them. I mean it definitely wouldn't hurt you. Maybe your file is stick behind someone in a name check or someone who went on vacation for a couple weeks.

I hope you get it soon!

Danielle-Justin- We're right there in the same boat as you... I was actually thinking about calling USCIS yesterday but thought I'd give it a few more days. From what I've read it doesn't seem like you can get much more information over the phone than is available through the website, but it can't hurt I guess!!

It really stinks that they now seem to have officially moved on to April filers and there are still several of us just left hanging here. I would almost be just as happy with an RFE for something stupid at this point, just to know that our case is actually being processed! Oh well, the wait goes on...

We actually did go ahead and take care of the medical over the past weekend and everything went well, tests and x-ray were clear, got first set of vaccinations, etc. So that feels good to have done something productive.

I'm just trying to stay positive now. Hope everyone else who's waiting can do the same!

It is great to see all the dates on the list. No doubt I gonna be one of the last because of the delay of the ID....Gosh I have never heard a story like mine in all VJ...having to wait a year for a paper...thats sick!

But the good thing is that I have Donnie and that no paper will change.

I missed you alot too guys, and at least I know you will still writing in the forum even when you are applying for AOS so....some day Ill catch up with you....hahhahaha

My medical is this August 4th and Donnie is comming with me! other than that Im ready for the interview, Im going to go even without the paper Im missing. If they deny we will reapply and see what happens. I cant stand the idea of being somewhat in the limbo without knowing whats going on...because our NOA 2 expires on August 2nd, Donnie is sending a notarized letter asking for an extension and declaring continuing support on the k1....I hope they will extend because I've heard the consulate does it automatically. Anyway better that way so not to be sorry afterwards.

I think I will get all the vacinations here, just to be sure, after I am going through I REALLY dont want any other problems, so I want to get everything well organized. I cannot just come back home if something goes wrong. I dont have parents here and I rent...so I will have to give away most of my stuff...

I just cant wait for things to start happenning....I think I grew more patient now....and kind of accepted whats happennig..so everything will happen on its time....

Great to be back!!!!

Morning folks!

Have a safe trip Alina. I can't wait to hear your good news! Have you trained Lee in the art of VJ posting? There is going to be one hell of a party in here on Thursday! Good luck lovely!!

I'm starting to get super nervous about my interview now. I must have checked everything a million times already.

I hope everyone else is well. I think those still waiting should definitely get in touch with USCIS, maybe even start drafting letters to representatives ... just saying something like I know I'm within the waiting dates but they say they process applications as they receive them can you find out why mine has been delayed since then ... It just makes the people who matter aware of your plight so that if - god forbid - the delays get longer and you really need their help they will already have a bit of a background on you. I'm sure those NOA2s will be here by the weekend though.

I'm just going to send good vibes out to the whole of VJ today.:idea::idea::idea:

I am afraid I know why our petition hasn't been approved yet.. .I started a thread in the General K1 section. so you can all refer to it if you want to know more. I don't really know if it would help for Michael to contact USCIS now... All I can say now is that I am crushed, and don't really feel like doing anything but curl up in a corner and die.

Hi Highway Star

I'm no expert but I don't think your job will have anything to do with you getting the visa or not. Government jobs are not always the easiest to get and in many countries highly regarded if anything I would have thought it maybe works in your favour. You may be waiting a little longer purely because they sent your name check off the day before a public holiday and it got caught up in the back log or because the person holding your case for adjudication tripped over a pile of April files, hurt their leg and is now off work for a week. I'm not trying to trivialise your wait, its horrible and you are bound to start creating reasons in your mind for why the NOA2 hasn't come yet but realistically we have no idea what is going on at VSC or with USCIS for the most part. Until you have had something official from USCIS saying your application has been refused because of your job then you have to believe that its is still pending. They wouldn't outright refuse you for your job anyway, they would issue a request for more evidence of your relationship. You have to remember they don't care what you do particularly, they want to know about you and Michael when you are together. I'm certain that USCIS realise by now that us love sick fools can't help who we fall in love with and if you really are in love then you will be able to show them that.

I think Michael calling would be a good thing. He's likely to get 3 different answers all from the same person but you never know one of them might be something you want to hear. He can ask whether your case has been assigned for adjudication yet. If it hasn't then no one will have even looked at what you do for a living so that panic can wait a while, if it has then it means it is sitting on someone’s desk waiting and you are due an update soon maybe?

Keep the faith hun. We are so out of control in this process it is human nature to start second guessing and creating excuses to make us feel like we understand but we very sadly don't have a say and don't know what is going on. Sending you a big cuddle and lots of good vibes.

Highway Star--- You are over-thinking everything. Stop it! Turn your brain off and get out of this mode or you're going to make yourself sick with depression. It's coming. You're not left out. If all of April was approved, but you, then you could worry. But they don't go in exact order. They are working on both sides of you which means you are close. I know how you feel, but you're thinking of failing and giving up and that is so negative. Make a deal with yourself that you won't check for updates for a week. All that checking with no change is a downer. I gave up checking for 3 weeks because I was tired of the disappointment. It helped me alot.

Bex---so excited for you. Don't be nervous. London is a piece of cake. Do you have all your papers nicely organized? Don't forget the appointment letter. Don't forget you can't take in car keys or cell phones and will have to stow them at the pharmacy. We're going in three weeks.

Good luck everybody

Good morning luvies! :) Oh i'm so excited for all of you headed to your interviews!!! It's like i'm living vicariously through you and feeling just a slice of the emotions I know that are coming for us! The very best to each of you! Can't wait to hear your good news!

HS... I replied to you in April too but have to say I agree with Nich. Curl up in a corner and die??? Stop it!!! You are quite self-defeating, aren't you? It will get you nowhere! All those being approved right now are right around your date... your petition is probably sitting right in the same box as theirs just waiting to be approved. Do as momma nich said and find something else to keep you busy for now.... you are going to make yourself sick with worry hon. It's coming! Think positive! :)

Well wishes to all of March who are still waiting... it does appear they are going in order now more than ever. Sure a few days off here and there... but still in order for the most part. I suppose that means our petition is still a couple of weeks off. We're doing our best to be patient.

Have a great day!
