Leaving sucks so much!! The last few days i have been trying to get some things in order. I cancelled all my credit cards/store cards/rewards cards.... I cut up over 14 different cards! I've closed all my accounts except one. My credit rating is amazing and I slowly saw it just disappearing :( I feel like I am regressing. I'm not 100% independent but I have always been pretty self sufficient. I like paying bills and being organised, why am I going backwards?!?! I also put my car in the newspaper yesterday and had four people arrange to come and see it by the afternoon!! Luckily I sold it to the first group that came round and I got the price I wanted but it so exhausting!! I'm lost without it. I don't think I was expecting anyone to buy it, I had set the price pretty high in an attempt to hold onto it for a bit longer. Now I keep remembering plans I have and wondering how I'm going to do them. Like the CAR BOOT sale I was supposed to do on Sunday ... I'm pretty certain I don't qualify for entry to that anymore and I want to visit people before I go but its not as easy as just driving round after work anymore it all needs to be thought about! Urgh.

Mum finally cried in front of me last night, that was rubbish because theres not much I can say that helps and then my dad (I'm a Daddies girl big time) told me I had to ring him every night and blow him a kiss down the phone. Ahhhh I'm tearing up just telling you guys about it. We found out he is retiring last night too and I'm not going to be able to go to his retirement dinner/party because I won't have AP by then and plus the cost of coming home etc. I'm devastated. He worked the last 22 years to make sure I never went without anything and I'm not going to be there to celebrate his achievements with him. I know everyone here "understands" and I have to do what I have to do but I feel like the worst person in the world sometimes. I want it all to be over now please.

I hope everyone is doing ok. I’m sorry to come on here so early in the morning and moan but there really is no one else I can talk about it too without upsetting them as well.

Lots of love xxx

BEX lovely.....I am sorry you are feeling so down...

I do understand what you are going through... But really don't worry about your credit cards and rewards cards...Keep in mind that you are going to America...the land of cupons, rewards and credit cards....so you will find yourself feeling just like home (even better) from this point of view...he he he...

I was in shock when an American friend showed me her "cupon organizer".... and all her membership and rewards cards...lol

And after more than one year when i returned home...my wallet was weighting about 2 lbs...having all that CVC, Food Lion, Super Fresh, GAP, BlockBuster and whatever else cards stuffed in it....lol Not to mention my key chain...which had attached a small version of all of the above :D

Yes...separation from family and friends is tough...but I am thinking that i will come and visit and they will come and visit...and that's just life... I am used to being away from family...left home for college when i was 18...and then spent quite a long time in America.... but this time is really different.. We are moving with the purpose of starting a new life there...not just college or a training program or whatever...

As hard as it may be... we are going to be with the man we love...and family will always be family... And very soon we will have our own family :)

So try to enjoy as much as you can the time you have left :)

And just to make your day less boring BEX....i have a special assignment for you!!!!!!!!

PLEASE PUT OUR NAMES DOWN ON THE HAPPY INTERVIEW LIST BECAUSE WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW DATE!!! YAAAAY!!!

I was having breakfast this morning and was getting ready to call embassy... when the phone rang :)

THEY were calling me from the embassy to schedule my interview... lol

And asked me when would i like to have it and i said towards the end of next week and they said is Thursday ok and i said YES :)

then i called in for my medical which would be Wednesday....so i am all set!!!!!!!!!!

Butterflies in my stomach right now.... Big time!!!!

Thinking this time next week i will be standing in front of the embassy..... Oh my God!!!!!!

:dance::dance: WOOOHOOOOO!! :dance::dance:

I don't have my happy list here at work but it will be the first thing I do when I get home!!! YEY! Congratulations. . . THURSDAY!!! Ahhhhhhhh. Thats so awesome, I'm so pleased for you. So if all goes well when will you be planning to leave? Oh this is exciting ... IM EXCITED!!! LOL

Thank you for all your support hun, its nice to hear that people have actually left their families before and the whole world didn't stop spinning. The longest I've been away from home is like six weeks, lol, so everything that’s happening now is new. I should have started preparing for this a year ago and moved into an apartment or something. I'm so happy to be starting a chapter of my life with Alan; I just wish it wasn't so much all at once.

How’s everyone else doing today ... come out and play happy vj'ers.

Just losing hope... I have started to think they don't want me because I am too old, or whatever reason they might have. My fiancé could not move to Italy without facing very big problems, so if they deny us, it will probably kill our relationship. People filing on the same day or even after have already been approved. I know that there are people who have waited years before they were allowed to be together, but when you are close to 50, every wasted day feels so damn heavy.

Please forgive me for my negativity, but I've been feeling so damn down these days...

Raffaella you don't need to apologise we have all felt like this many times and understand what your feeling. Don't loose hope though, I remember watching people get their Feb approvals knowing that mine should have been one of them (our first application was never processed.) The Feb filers had their visa's in hand I was still waiting for my damn NOA2 its so frustrating and you run yourself backwards, forwards and upside down stressing out about it. Your at that stage where it could be coming any day and not knowing whats happening is leading you to make assumptions. You know as much as I do though and I am assuming that your NOA2 is coming in the next week. I guess my positive assumption cancels out your negative one ... anyone else want to help me notch up he GHF score?!?!?

They will see the love that you and Michael have for each other and approve you regardless of your age. I don't think you need to worry about that at all. I hope you feel better soon, your NOA2 in the next few days will definitely help with that :)

NO NO NO!!!!! That is a baaaad attitude!!!!

I am really sorry you are feeling down...we all have our days and no need to appologize!

There were very few people with NOA1 after yours that got approved...which means yours is on the way!

I promise!!!!

and i can assure you they don't have anything against your age! there are people older than that...USCIS doesn't care...and you should care even less... Love is love at any age...end of story!

I undestand that some days our minds start working really really weird...and we get the craziest thoughts..but we will all have a good laugh when this is over!

so hang in there!

Awwww Bex sweetie, my heart is breaking for you. :( I'm not really sure what to say to you but I wish I could just give you a big hug. I can tell you that as a parent i'm sure your folks are just so happy that you have found the kind of love that makes it worth living on the other side of pond. It's what make life worth living! You're not going backwards hon, even though you may find it difficult to carry any credit over, everything you've done and learned will come along with you and you will do the same thing here. It wont take that long really. I do hope that once you are in the arms of your love all of this pain will fade. Borrow someone eles's 'boot' (trunk) to have your little sale.. or be creative and use something else. Take a bubble bath and treat yourself with a little extra TLC right now. You deserve it. Don't apologize for your emotions, i'm quite sure many people here are feeling what you are and it's probably a wonderful thing you're doing for them letting them know they're not alone. I wish you much strength... you're almost there! :)

Aleena... woohooo congratulations! Oh my goodness, i'd be jumping out of my skin!

Danielle-Justin... your time has GOT to be soon!!!! cmon VSC...we're waaiiiitttiinnnggg!!!

HighwayStar... same for you... it's coming! This is the land of opportunity! And, in case you haven't heard... 50 ist he new 30! ;) Of course, they want you... they're just taking their sweet time these days. I know how hard it is.. we filed just after you... we've got to believe it's coming soon. Try to stay strong!

I know you guys know this but this is the biggest vacation week in the U.S.... the roads into the major cities are bare and everyone I know (cept me :( ) is either on vacation or on their way. I would assume that includes USCIS workers. Curse them for having nomrmal lives! This week has been sooooo slow and I am hoping upon hope to see a big bulk of the end of March / early April approvals before the holiday tomorrow. If that doesn't happen, we've got to believe it's any day now.
