Good news Ana. And more to come for you, I hope, this week. Such a slow start to the week, but sometimes it goes like that. Makes it so boring to not see new approvals.

Hello to everybody. Bex I like the list of interviews you started. Forgot to mention that earlier. Looking forward to adding my name to it. I like to have concrete dates. It makes it all seem more real, like you got to move forward on the Monopoly board.

Looks like Nick can get his DTaP at National Health now. They had told him that there was a country wide shortage and it was priortized for the babies. So he was going to go back to Knightsbridge in London and get it over with. NHS called and said they got some in and one had his name on it. It's been up and down with the immunization thing, but I did figure out the confusion. Requirements are set by USA for Tdap, which doesn't really correlate to a UK vaccine, so they give the DTaP or what they call the Tdap which is a totally different mix of drugs than the US version. And this is in addition to the DTaP you took as a baby/child.

Have a great day. Vibes~~~~~

Hello lovely ladies!

back to my hometown....all settled in and enjoying the home cooking my mom is making for me.

have to find a gym nearby before i start "expanding"...lol...

by the way...did i tell you my home town is where Dracula was born??? bruuuuhhhhahhhhhaaa

his castle is not very far away either. i should post some pictures.... So quited and nice....except for night time when the vampires and ghosts start walking around....lol ...then it gets really dirty...lol

feels a little wird to move back in with parents at age 25... but we all know it is only temporary and trying to enjoy it as much as we can...

of course...my mom is getting emotional every 10 minutes thinking about her baby wearing a white dress soon...and it gets me a litlle sad knowing that my family won't be there... but then i'm thinking....it is what it is... We are going to have some king of celebration here too as soon as i will be able to travel back... So in one way i should consider myself lucky to have that "special day" twice and sharing it with the man of my dreams.... :star::star::star:

really hoping for some very good news these days... So get moving USCIS people!!!!!!!!!

Ana you definitely already have a very good reason to be happy...and there is another one coming soon!!!!

Bex...regarding you wedding dress... I have the feeling that it is not as bad as you think it is... Us girls always exaggerate when it comes to things like that...

hugs to everyone!!!

I think Bex wants to post the list of interview dates just so we can see when our March friends go for their "big day." The times will depend on sending back the Packet 3 and how each consulate decides to schedule things.

YES, it is fresh news for Mommy Nic. How could you tell? Could it be the red writing that gave it away??

It feels very good. I just love getting to update my timeline and signature. Thank you for noticing.

Today I got tired of wondering, so instead of waiting patiently, I called the Dept. of State and inquired if there was an interview scheduled. (Yes, I am still obsessed.) He asked for the case number LND2008xxxxxx and the beneficiary's name. Then he said, "Do you have a pen and paper handy?" Wowweee, I knew I was going to hear some news. He told me that my timing was good because they just set the appointment yesterday and my fiance would probably get his letter early next week. He was a very nice guy. I kissed him and he laughed and I hung up. So if you're obsessed and want to call the DOS write this number down. (202) 663-1225 Press 0, then Press 1. The robot that answers the call talks forever, so just press 0 to bypass him. Same for the second robot that comes on...skip him with a 0 and the next answer is a live person. There's no music while you wait for Mr. 0 to come on the line...just dead silence. It took about 2-3 minutes for him to answer. The DOS can tell you if your Packet 3 was sent out, if the embassy got it back from you, and if an interview has been scheduled.

As soon as I got the news, I called Nick and blurted, "You have an interview! I know because I called the Dept of State." His reaction was as if he got a bingo, but I yelled out BINGO! for him. Well that's the impression I got, even if he didn't say it. Hope I didn't steal his thunder of getting the mail and being able to tell me. Sorry Nick if I did.

Then the next cool thing is---I booked a flight to England. We had already decided I would come back at interview time and we would go to London together just to be able to share the joy. That's kinda why I wanted to know the date asap, because I wanted to book a reward flight while there were some available. So going over cost me 25,000 miles and coming back, I had to book first class for 50,000 miles. I've even read two recent London interview reports that the USC was allowed to come in the embassy with the interviewee. Even better. He said he's glad I get to come again since we won't be going back for awhile until AOS, etc is done. I told him I'm going to miss having a boyfriend in England to go visit. hahahaha

So today was a happy day and I got on Bex's Happy List. Thanks Bex.

My happy list keeps changing form :( I need to get better at this code stuff I guess.

Congrats on your interview date Nic, lol I think I would actually die of shock if Alan called me up and said we had an interview date ... forget the interview... HE ACTUALLY CALLED SOMEONE WITHOUT ME ASKING?!?!?! I'm sure Nick just wasn't expecting you to give him that news, I would love Alan to come over for my interview but we can't afford it. Not with the big wedding that they want and everything else.

I know there are people that have gone a lot longer apart than Alan and I have but its starting to get silly now. Before this stretch we had been really lucky and never gone more than about 3.5 months without a trip here or there. Its been 5 months 11 days and we don't have any plans to be together until I get the visa that’s going to be well over 6 months (probably more like almost 8) ... that’s over half a year!! :crying:

Hmmmm but on a lighter note ... its friday ... which means its cake day!!!:dance::dance:

I hope everyone is well, I miss Erin.

Ok...i have a confession to make...

I couldn't resist any longer considering that i have so much free time in my hands...unemployed and spoiled by mom...lol...so today i finally started to browse the forums and get info on how to track packet from NVC to embassy...

I did not call NVC so i actually have no clue when or if they got it...but i am thinking...since we were last touched by USCIS on June 5 it might have left for NVC that day... which means that it they are good guys and processed it in a couple days. they sent it to the embassy sometime this week. So i went to DHL.COM and found a packet that left yesterday...which would be in accordance with my calculations... I wonder if we really are in that packet... I only found one other packet for Bucharest that left on the 9th...which would actually be to soon... Hmmmm.....

so the plan is to call the embassy as soon as i see this packet delivered...and i guess i will find out...

or i could just have my baby call DOS...but i really don't want him to know what wacko he's about to marry....

It is amazing how many packages are going out daily everywhere in the world...And that is really really good news!

they are not slacking as bad as we sometimes think they are...

I keep in touch with a Romanian girl going through the same process on a Romanina forum. and she said that after sendind back packet 3 she was able to schedule the interview the following week!!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!! I don't even dare to say out loud what that means :)

going to eat some lunch now and then lay down on the balcony and start reading a book...Sunny and warm afternoon :)

and when i will be back in a few hours i want to see some people jumping up and down on this thread!!! did u hear me ANA?????

NICH...i think it is really great that you got the interview date and already booked your flight... And also being able to pay with your sky miles...wow! you must have travelled a lot!!! Good for you!

BEX...your list looks wonderful! Most likely you will be the next one to have your name on it :)

Good morning kids :D

It's Friday the 13th and somebody lives in Transylvania....ooohhhh perfect for an approval day in this group. Spooky.

If Kim would pm me and tell me how to quote from multiple people within the same message like she does, it would help.

Aleena - I'm positive one of those 2 packages is yours. You're right about so many packages to so many countries. And each box could have many petitions. I posted earlier somewhere how to track dhl and about seeing in two days 82 different countries. Some of the boxes were 20 or 40 pounds, so you know they had lots of petitions inside. That's great that you get to call and schedule you're interview and not wait to hear back from them weeks later. You could be married before we go to the interview.

Bex - It was just a day over 2 weeks after London getting our P3 back that they scheduled Nick's interview. We tracked the P3 back to them and with the bank holiday, it took a few days to get back. I've seen some from London get P4 letter in a much shorter time, so it's hard to know. Sorry it's going to be a long stretch between seeing Alan. I bet you have your visa way before Nick has his. We asked for a delayed interview date.

About the free trip on miles. I always fly Continental to get the miles in one pot so to speak. They don't expire, so it's several years of trips. I made enough miles last year to be Elite status, so this year instead of 5000 miles each trip across the Atlantic, I get 7500 because they bonus you for being Elite. And last year I got a Continental Mastercard and they gave me 25,000 miles for signing up and a mile for every dollar charged on it. So I pay my electric, cable, phone, groceries...everything I can just to get the miles. There's bonuses too like 2 miles for every dollar for charging airfare tickets on it. And 5 miles per dollar spent at Best Buy (new TV on it.) So I don't really travel that much, I just collect miles everywhere I possibly can. It's useful to pay for trips when they're cheap and try to use miles in the summer when the fares go up so much. Continental works for us because they fly direct from Houston to London. Houston is a hub so I can go most anywhere and use Continental. I flew BA once, but their frequent flyer scheme sucks.

I'm slow on this because I keep going off and doing things. So better go now and be a busy person. Good luck. I sure hope some more approvals start trickling in through the weekend. Often that happens. I got my NOA email on a Sunday morning. :)

Nic... congratulations on your interview date! I'm sure Nick is thrilled you gave him the news! :) You're just a few weeks away from forever now! ;) How I LOVE London's architecture! I wish they would have restored so many of those old buildings after the fires though.. instead of building the modern ones in between them!

Bex... What are you using to create your list? I feel ya on the missing each other. :( We've seen each other just 3 weeks out of the last 9 months and this after living together for a year and a half. It's tragic really. I just want to touch him. :( It's coming hon, try to stay positive!

 aleena! You're so funny! I'm sure that's your petition in one of those shipments and wow a week after packet 3 is awesome! How exciting for you!
