tuty - i am pleased to hear that you were able to get your old marriage certificate! :star: i'm also thrilled that you will be seeing each other in 6 weeks. that isn't very long at all! i'm sure you will have a wonderful time (F) you are right! patience is key!!!

aleena - you are more than welcome for the support. yes, we are very lucky that we are fairly close. in fact, just knowing we share the same weather patterns (within about 8 hours of each other) and sky (within an hour of each other) helps a lot some days. our current situations are limiting us from seeing each other any time soon, but i am actually alright with that. we have so much to look forward to and i can focus on our future while i'm wrapping things up here in toronto. we have had three very, very meaningful conversations over the last few days and i am more content than ever. we just really had to dig in and discuss a few key things and all of a sudden some major weight has been lifted. i am so grateful and happy.

i am very happy that you have friends who can help you to surprise him on his birthday if you can't be there. we should brainstorm things to do for our guys if we can't see them on their birthdays!

and i should start thinking about whether or not i can get back to see david for his birthday. i'm glad i have a couple of months to figure things out

wow. july is a good month with all the birthdays!! :D

nich - i couldn't agree more re: strange set of circumstances. we so badly wanted things to speed up and now have to make sure things slow down so that i have enough time here... likely another 10 months at the rate things are going. gosh - it will be nice to have a more exact time, and i hope to know that within the next couple of weeks.

thanks sal for mentioning that a delay in sending package three would help. i was wondering about that :)

kim - haven't they been great lately at CSC? it's nice to see so many people with so much hope once csc started speeding up. i am quite excited at the thought of receiving our NOA2. i'm positive we'll see something by august.

BEX - the gift you sent to alan sounds perfect. photos mean so much, i think. i'm sure he'll be thrilled.

and YYYYAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, i didn't know yee was a pirate!

I wish you all well, I know how it feels waiting for your nao2 and its frustrating not knowing when you will get it, but once you do get that the next stages move really quick. More forms to fill in, medicals, documents to get from your SO lol (that is no easy task lol). Enjoy this time and know you are now on the way to spending the rest of your life with your loved one.

Oh guys your going to be so disappointed in me ... I got a little eager waiting for Neighbors to start just now and called the NVC to pass some time.

What??!? :oBex called? NO WAY! She's not the obsessive type.

The first time I called, I didn't know much about it and was surprised to get a live person so late at night. It just went straight through. She was really nice. I loved NVC that night.

When I called later in the week to find out if it was sent to London, I started earlier in the evening. That's where I got all the experience I related here earlier. (busy signals, Spanish lady robot voice) I was watching American Idol or one of my cheesy reality shows and hit redial at every commercial. After I gave it up and waited until late night, then I got through. I guess if you called when they are just opening, that would be a good time also.

oh yeah, lest we forget  Vibes~~~~ Aleena and  Vibes~~~~ CSC

Congrats on your approval Bex!! You guys are so chatty I cant keep up but I hope you are all doing well :) 4 more weeks and Corrie is coming to visit for 3 months yay! This is the longest we have been apart since we met each other online Sept 06.

I saw someone on Igors list from CSC with a NOA1 date of 3-6 get approved!! That is amazing, I will feel so lucky if I get approved in July/early Aug.

We are doing great. This is Corrie's first baby, but my 2nd. My first son will be 4 next month. He is so excited to be a big brother. He loves Corrie so much too, he counts down the days with me and gets excited. I am feeling pretty big now, I have officially lost the ability to bend over hehe. I just hope I can lose all the pregnancy weight before we get married!

aw bex. i feel for you! i work at the university of toronto and the students here are MAD from studying. i will be so happy for you once you are finished! :dancing:

aleena - i think that quitting your job is a very wise decision if you won't feel any financial stress and it will give you time to relax and spend quality time with friends and family prior to leaving for the US. i am sure you wouldn't be considering it if it didn't make sense :) we are here to support you no matter what decision you make (F)

i only check uscis once a day and don't actually expect to see anything on the site at any point. i figure we'll get to the NOA2 stage without receiving any touches, and i'm okay with that.

steph - how exciting that your son will have a little brother!!! wow! it sounds like you have so many wonderful things to look forward to with corrie coming to the US. gosh. i am so pleased for you!

i can't wait to get to evanston and be with david and his son lucas. it will be so fun to be a family! we hope to have children of our own within a couple of years of me getting there as well. i think lucas would make a fantastic big brother, too. :D

hope everyone else is doing well, too!

    good vibes and happy weekend to all!

Thanks Erin. I feel like I'm not doing as much work as I really should be doing and I know it will come back and bite me in the butt. Am I actually supposed to spend every waking second on it though?!? Ahhh I guess we'll find out on results day if I've done enough. I think you will make a wonderful Mom Erin. Oh I hope we all stay in touch with updates and pictures. If we get to do all the heartache together its only right that we share our wonderful lives ... well when they get wonderful.

Corrie your son is around the same age as Alan's son Nicholas, hes 4 in July. I love him to pieces. I wish his mom and I could get on better, I think its just going to take her more time, I kind of understand that. I think she might get better once we are married, its not like I'm going anywhere then. She never wanted to separate from Alan so it took her a long time just to get over him never mind get used to me being around. Alan and I can't wait to start a family together, I want a whole football team ... realistically 2 more would be nice. We are thinking about starting pretty soon ... hopefully. Diabetic pregnancies can be a bit of a nightmare so it might be good for us to get it out the way before I start thinking about a career and then needing extensive leave.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I have just eaten enough food to feed a whole village, I think I may have put back on all 33lbs Ive lost in one sitting LOL :pop: :pop: :pop: :pop:

Erin- I have a feeling this summer is just going to fly by with Corrie coming and having a baby, and birthdays/holidays. That will be such a great gift to Lucas to be a big brother :)

Bex- I wish my ex and corrie could get along better too. They do ok, but my ex was not really willing to accept it was over until I got pregnant with Corrie's baby. Then he finally signed the divorce papers after being separated over a year. He really cant get over the age difference and has to try and tell me what a mistake im making. I will be 23 on June 4th, and Corrie just turned 37 in April. Corrie and I would like 2 more after this too. I still havent decided what I want to do as a career but I stay at home with the little ones. Corrie is a computer programmer and hopefully he will be able to find work quickly here after AOS. I have gestational diabetes this time around and when I was pregnant with my first 4 years ago. I have been on the diabetes diet since 16 weeks pregnant and check my blood sugars 4x a day. Not being able to indulge in all the pregnancy cravings can be hard at times but a healthy baby is so much more important. I think its a great idea for you guys to start before the career, America is not very good with maternity leave, and not very many companies offered paid leave either.

In my case there isnt even a chance my ex and Donnie would ever even met each other. My ex is out of my life completely. We dont even talk on the phone. And its better that way. He wanted to stay with the boys and that was the only way to get him sign the papers. He also got our department (but it has still to be paid off for 20 years so...) anyway, Im okay with it but I cannot even see the man....I feel really disgusted by his marely presence. It will be hard to leave the boys here but I will do all I can to convince them to come to live with me when they are older. Regarding the age difference...well, Donnie is 5 years younger than me...I really give a...about age diference. There are many people I know (including my mom, who got marrie to a man 10 years younger than her) that have happy marriages. My mother got married for a second time, 20 years ago! imagine.....
