Hi dear march fillers!

It has been almost 2 and a half months since we sent the application...lately I have been running after my old marriage certificate (from 1994) because the embassy wants it together with the divorce papers...what for, I really dont know...but let me tell you it was confusing, starting by the fact that I even didnt know where to get it from. Anyway, the important thing is that I got it and its being translated right now together with my 2 kids' birth certificates and my army records. Gosh thats expensive...plus I asked 2 certified copies of each. During the comming week I will schedule an appointment with the physician in Tel Aviv but only at the beginning of July because I want Donnie to come with me. I need to get all the shots they say because I dont have a vaccination record.

Everything is under control it seems. Donnie is going to talk to his congressman regarding the Argentinian police certificate, maybe there is something he can do...there is always a better possibility when there are connections...but who knows. The key is to be patient. My baby is going to be here in 6 weeks...and we are planning a dream vacation. So...good times are yet to come.In a month an a half from now school will be over and I will be free for 2 months! YAY!

Good luck to all of you dear people.

wishing a speedy and successful process. :star:

I'm hoping I will have my visa by the beginning of August but anytime before the end of the month would be fine I guess. You might be a little pushed for July 11th hun. But then I only know UK timelines so it may well be perfectly feasible. ANYWAY - aren't you supposed to be not caring! Put some effort in!

Oh lol when I saw Nic's list this morning I saw that your SO is called Lee ... and now I get your screen name ... I LOVE IT! Sending you extra good vibes so you can pretend your not concerned.

Oh Erin I like your list too!! I hope that its not too mcuh longer for you CSC filers.

*hugs*

Bex xxx

So nice of you to notice Bex :star:

I was really proud of myself when i came up with the idea ...lol... It might actually go furter than that... If we have a baby girl i might name her Aleena...lol... Middle name at least. Lee has no idea i picked the names of our children already... I guess he doesn't care as long as the boy's name is Lee... :)

I came up with another idea...I made an emblem with our initials and i am planning to personalize everything with that. looks very pretty :)

i want to be in the US before my baby's bithday...which is July 11... Is that to much to hope? considering that we don't even have our NOA2 yet... :(

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeez Mr. or Mrs USCIS adjudicator!!!!!!!!!!!! HEAR US!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL

aw. my guy's birthday is july 26th and at one point (when we hadn't had reality sink in yet) i had hoped to be there with him by that time. BUT i do think that you MIGHT have it happen. i will keep my hopes up for you. or, should i send you some positive vibes?

:D

david told me last night that he won't be able to make it here this weekend. this is weekend #4 that he has canceled on. this time it is because lucas' last hockey game of the season is on sunday. i understand the importance of him being there but i had to email him this morning and ask that he stop getting my hopes up unless he has actually thought things through and thinks a visit will actually happen. he hadn't even stopped to look at his schedule until i asked him to do so last night. i know he is trying but it makes me feel discouraged. so i'm back to having no sense of when i will see him again. as it is a long weekend here and everyone else has already made plans, i think i'm going to go and spend some time with my parents :luv:

thanks for you support Erin...lol...

He actually thinks i will be there the weekend of July 4th...lol.... Can't really see that happening...

Last year it was great...

I would really hate missing his birthday...But if i am not there i will think of something... I have some friends there that can help me make him a nice surprise :)

You two are lucky there is no ocean between you... and even if it doesn't happen this weekend there is always a chance to see him the next one... Plus you can travel to the US to see him also... That is a big advantage that the 2 of you have! And i am happy for you :)

my guy's birthday is july 26th

And my guy's birthday is also in July. He booked a ticket months ago to come to the US for his b'day. The craziest thing is--it's possible to have the interview and K1 before that trip so we now have to stall the process or cancel the trip because July is too soon to drop everything and move over the pond.

What a strange set of circumstances we get ourselves into. Aleena wants the interview and visa by July 11 and can't speed it up. We are now realizing we need to slow it down to after mid-July. I guess our collective gripe is that we don't have control over this part of our lives. It's in the hands of government employees.

 Hmmm...the postman just pushed an envelope through the door. Could that be Packet 3? It doesn't say US Consulate on it anywhere, so I guess not.

If you want to slow it down you can delay sending packet 3 back or ask the embassy for an alternative date.

Hope that helps.

Yep, we plan to include a cover letter asking for an interview after July 14 and hope that will take care of it. There's always the reschedule option. I also read in a post long ago that London schedules you according to what date you put as your planned entry into the US. A guy was wondering why he hadn't gotten an interview. His planned entry was 6 months in the future. Somebody replied they schedule your interview about 6 weeks before the date you say you plan to enter. In that way they take care of people who want to go ASAP and push back those planning on taking months to tie things up. Sounds reasonable. Wonder if that's true?

tuty, I sent my marriage certificate in with the initial application for legal proof of name change (from my birth certificate). Can't they test your blood for immunities and then base your shots on that? That's what others have done. It's wonderful your SO is coming for a visit... should make all of this much easier for you! I hope you have a wonderful time! :)

csc has been doing a wonderful job pushing those applications out lately. I do hope they continue at this rapid pace and that you march csc'ers find your approvals come a lot faster than you thought! :)

Oh guys your going to be so disappointed in me ... I got a little eager waiting for Neighbors to start just now and called the NVC to pass some time.

HOW NICE ARE THEY THERE?!?!?!? I LOVE THEM

The total call length from dialing 1 for English to getting the information I wanted and hanging up was 1 minute 56 seconds! I spoke to Sonia and she said that they don't have our case on their system yet .... which probably has something to do with the fact it was only approved two days ago. Oh I'm so impatient! It was such a nice experience though I wanted to share it all with you :D

Oh I also wanted to tell you about the gift I sent Alan yesterday - its only a little something but I think he will like it. I had Kodak print and frame a picture of him and his best friend at a wedding last year, then the mail it direct to him so I don't have to faff around packaging it up safe etc. Cost like $30 for the whole thing. His friend moved to AZ a while back so they don't see each other so much recently, I'm thinking I might get one sent to Elliot too. I think his mom would like one too ... hmmm I should have inquired about bulk purchases.

I hope everyone is having a good week. This time in 7 days my university career will be officially over!! P.A.R.T.Y time!! :jest: We are all going to the last exams dressed as pirates too .... ahhhh I can't wait!!

Lots of Love
