Oooooooh that looks like a very nice list Nic. My basic math skills suggest that about 42% of March filers have been approved. NOT BAD!

I hope everyones having a great week. I'm trying so hard to revise but I just can't take anything in. Really panicing about my exams now :crying:

it depends on how quickly the Nao2 comes and then how long it takes for the embassy to send your packet 3 and then scheduling the interview, seems to me that you will be lucky to get all that done in that time, but I hope im wrong and you get what you require.

Take a look at other timelines for your embassy and see how quickly these move from nao2 to interview.

God I can't wait for them to start approving April Filers just to get Kim's nagging butt out of here :D :D

I'm hoping I will have my visa by the beginning of August but anytime before the end of the month would be fine I guess. You might be a little pushed for July 11th hun. But then I only know UK timelines so it may well be perfectly feasible. ANYWAY - aren't you supposed to be not caring! Put some effort in!

Oh lol when I saw Nic's list this morning I saw that your SO is called Lee ... and now I get your screen name ... I LOVE IT! Sending you extra good vibes so you can pretend your not concerned.

Oh Erin I like your list too!! I hope that its not too mcuh longer for you CSC filers.

*hugs*

aw. my guy's birthday is july 26th and at one point (when we hadn't had reality sink in yet) i had hoped to be there with him by that time. BUT i do think that you MIGHT have it happen. i will keep my hopes up for you. or, should i send you some positive vibes?

:D

david told me last night that he won't be able to make it here this weekend. this is weekend #4 that he has canceled on. this time it is because lucas' last hockey game of the season is on sunday. i understand the importance of him being there but i had to email him this morning and ask that he stop getting my hopes up unless he has actually thought things through and thinks a visit will actually happen. he hadn't even stopped to look at his schedule until i asked him to do so last night. i know he is trying but it makes me feel discouraged. so i'm back to having no sense of when i will see him again. as it is a long weekend here and everyone else has already made plans, i think i'm going to go and spend some time with my parents :luv:

I've been dying for an offer like that all week .... (hmmmm I can't find a cheeky emoticon to put here)

I love you really Kim. Alan was laughing at me last night, he said that because I have my NOA2 I'm not a real March filer anymore and I said something along the lines of ... I am a March filer for life baby! To which he pointed out that next year there will be a brand new group of fresh faced and gray hairless March filers coming along forging friendships and helping each other through. It all of a sudden felt like I was back at school! I LOVE THIS PLACE

Miss! Miss! :help:

Can you tell me how I find out when my case is received by NVC? I'm guessing it'll get there maybe Monday. Wow yours hardly had time to be unpacked at NVC, it must have gone box to box direct.

ALSO - anyone reading ... I'm a type one insulin dependent diabetic (for 16 years, 5 injections a day) does anyone know if they are likely to want to know anything about this for the medical? I'm planning on getting my nurse to write a letter just saying that I'm in control and haven't been admitted recently etc just because its an ongoing condition. If anyone has any experience of this I'd like to hear from you.

Good vibes!

Can you tell me how I find out when my case is received by NVC?

I can tell you but it will involve more obsessing by you :hehe:

Found the info here in the Wiki http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC but much of that is about people adjusting status. It does give the email or phone number (which good obsessive little girls will surely want) and their hours.

Here's my summary as it applies to K1 (I-129f) cases:

Phone number (603) 334-0700 in New Hampshire

(Anything you read about automated responses by entering your USCIS number does not apply to K1. Our cases just pass through there to get packed up. We never get entered into NVC's 24/7 status reporting system. So when you call you have to speak to a real person --option 5)

So you dial the number and get busy signal---that means they're way busy so give it up for a couple of hours.

When you do actually get the automated robot voice to answer he's going to tell you to push 1 for English.

The next step is push 5 for a real person. He'll tell you you're being transferred and it will go silent. If you start hearing a Spanish lady recording, you might as well hang up because she's telling you it's too busy and you're being transferred back to the automated. Then the guy tells you that in English and you're wasting phone money listening. Just redial and start over or wait 5 min and start over.

If you're put in the queue, you won't hear the Spanish lady and it will tell you something about your wait may be 5 minutes or 7 minutes. Don't hang up, you're almost there.

When the live person answers, be prepared to give them your USCIS receipt number and full names and birthdates of both parties. You can ask if your case is there, when it arrived and departed, what your new case number is etc. (Mine is a LNDxxxxx number because of LoNDon. ) Ask away.

TIP: I was successful both times after 10pm central time. That would be about 4:15 am if you're going to call.

Once you know it has left there, you can track it on DHL. But that is tomorrow's lesson unless you want to prepare for next week.
