"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hi ! is theiir a way to print these logs without showing the actual conversations- just showing our id's and the dates we chatted- or is it better to show everything little detail we discuss ? thanx!

yes, you can do a screen shot. pm me or ask in this thread for more info on how to do that.

I would assume that a lot has to do with your red flags. If yours is a case that will be cut and dry then I would think that printing just the dates that you talk from the archive, with a sampling would be enough. If you have more red flags though I would be prepared to provide them with more than that. Whatever you do, make sure you save them in case they do ask for more.

I dont think they will keep them and read them. We just printed the dates we talked, not the conversation history. That would be a million pages. I dont think they want or will read those. But just at a glance see that you do talk almost everyday and thats if they doubt something. They didnt even ask for ours. When I sent in the papers in the beginning, I included 2 photos of us and a print out of the email log page showing we emailed 3 years ago and current one so they already had that. He took with him to the interview a print out of the dates of conversation but not all. He took a photo album, they didnt want to see. He took a DVD movie of the 2 of us on both trips, but he didnt even mention it. They told him he was approved so he didnt have to show them anything else. Ask around though, maybe someone else had to show all those conversations, but I have not heard of them taking all those printouts of your actual conversations. I sure dont want them to see ours  HAHA

What we did was open the message archive (on yahoo) and it shows the dates and times, and i Printed Screen for almost each date. I choose which part of the conversation they can see, and keep private, whatever needs to be kept private

open up microsoft paint several times, open up your archive and get the archive window pretty much full screen. go thru the archive and line up things on the top and press the key "print screen" and then go to one of the ms paint programs you have open. at the top of the ms paint select edit and then paste, it will then paste your screenshot there for you. you can do a bit of cleanup on the screenshot by using the tools on the left side, in particular the top right one to outline the part you want and copy it again, and then go to another opened paint and paste it again. you may have to do this several times to get the hang of it, but once you do get the hang of it go to file - then save as and save it to your desktop as whateverfilename.jpg

the reason i specify a jpg is it takes up less disk space, just in case you need to email it sometime down the road.

once you have the method figured out (it takes some practice getting things adjusted just right for a screenshot), plus refining your copy and paste into a final product, it will go fairly quick. you might want to name the files something meaningful, like aug_sep2007.jpg, sep_oct2007.jpg, and so on.
