Good news our vj family! My mom passed her visitor's visa interview on March 7, 2008 at the US Embassy in How lManila.

The following were the questions asked to her:

1. What is the purpose of your trip? Ans: To attend the wedding of my only child

2. How long do you plan to stay? Ans: 10 days only

3. Why only 10 days? Ans: Coz I have big responsibilities on my job as a Government Auditor.

4. How long have you been in the government service? 26 years

5. Do you have a house? Ans: Yes.

6. Do you have a car? Ans: Yes.

7. How many kids do you have? Ans: Only one, the one getting married. Consul: Oooppss. sorry, i forgot.

Consul: Ok, go and attend the wedding.

Mom: Can i request something?

Consul: Sure, what is that?

Mom: May i request for a visa pick-up? Coz the wedding of my daughter will be on the 13th. I need to to leave atleast on the 12th.

Consul: Sure, you can get the visa here in Monday.

Mom: THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Have a nice day!

And then, i received a text message from her saying that she was approved! YAHOOOOOO!!! THANK GOD! PRAISE GOD!

And we're still praying that she will get a multiple visa valid for 10 years so that she can visit me yearly.

We'll pick her up at the LAX airport on Wednesday night.

08/13/08 - RFE letter received in the mail

08/22/08 - Reply to RFE sent...Oh Lord, please guide us!

08/27/08 - RFE response received; Case resumed

09/13/08 - EAD card received

12/10/08 - AOS Interview in Los Angeles - APPROVED!!! PRAISE GOD FOREVER!

12/22/08 - Green Card Received - THANKS GOD!!! Thanks our VJ FAMILY!!!

09/14/10 - NOA1 Date (09/15/10 on the uscis website)

09/15/10 - $545 Check Cashed

09/18/10 - Received NOA1

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

04/18/07 - my honey asked me to marry him and i said yes! we're ENGAGED!

05/28/07 - my honey sent the petition to USCIS

06/08/07 - USCIS recieved (on-line)

09/25/07 - hard copy of NOA1 received thru mail

10/15/07 - process for the petition was taking long so he decided to go back to the PI

11/08/07 - honey had to leave me again to go back to hawaii
