December Filers

I'd like to ask anyone out there who filed a Philippine petition through Vermont back in December, if they are still waiting? We were touched Feb 17th, and that was the last time. We are seeing more and more Philippine petitions being approved out of Vermont that has filed after our date. And today I noticed a feb 2008 filer that was already approved. We are trying to understand how Vermont Service center seems to coordinate the processing of applications and want to get an idea of how many of us who filed in december 2007 are still waiting for some good news. Hi friend! Im not a December filer and didnt file in Vermont too. But I remember I was once like you, I keep on checking peoples timeline and compare my case to theirs. It took almost 7 months for our petition to get approved. The whole process can be so daunting. So, dont worry too much about it....Im sure most of us who are in this process has experienced the same feeling.....all the waits and patience.

I think it does not depend on your country of origin, and maybe the rest of December filers were put aside on somebody's table. As I can see there are even October filers recently approved...so let's sigh and wait our time.

I guess nobody knows but them when a case is touched and approved. So, just be patient and dont worry too much.

I could feel for you simplygem. I'm not a december filer but a january filer. There are several January Philippine petitions that has been approved already... unfortunately, our petition is not yet one of those so I wish I know how everything work at the USCIS too.

It's probably more frustrating for you since you filed december. ... it is not something we can really control which makes it more disheartening. I miss my SO so bad, no amount of chats and overseas call could make up for the distance that separate us... but when I see my friends and my family here, I find it easier to thank God for giving me a little more time to be with them. Sure I love my SO very much and I am dying to be with him the soonest but I also love my family and my friends here, they have been with me since childhood and they have helped shaped me into who I am today.

I have a friend who migrated to Australia last June 2007, 2 weeks before her departure her father died and it was a blessing she had not left yet and she was able to attend the wake and the burial (not the 40days though). And just Monday, another father of one of my closest friend died @ 58, still young if you really think about it... I don't want to be morbid but my father has been sick for a long time, his diabetes is worsening and although in spite of his illness, he has outlived so many supposedly healthier and younger people here but life is indeed so unpredictable... my father might even outlive me for all I know but who really knows for sure?

In God's perfect time, we will get our approval and before the year ends I will be with my SO. I WILL be spending the rest of my life with him but who knows when I could see my family and friends again... who knows if I ever see all of them alive again (especially my father) once I leave the Philippines. I sure want to get that NOA2 soonest but I also praise God for the extra time here.

I'm sending wishes along your way that you may get your NOA2 the soonest and that the rest of the process will be faster and smoother for you and for all of us who are still in the waiting room.

We were Touched Feb 17 and then received an email from USCIS on March 9th saying we were approved. We were also Touched on March 10th. I called the NVC Thursday March 13 and they have our Petition. It will be forwarded to the Embassy within a week. I'm sure your Touches are a very good sign!

hi we are december filer too..

we have our noa2 last feb 22 and we don't know where is it now.

we havent called embassy yet..

maybe we will be in the same time frame on interview

HI, There is a good chance will will have the same interview dates! I called the NVC March 13 and the people were extremely nice and helpful. After my experience with the USCIS the NVC was like a breath of fresh air! We are hoping for a mid-May interview date.

I just called NVC at 1 pm today, March 14 2008. They said our Petition has been forwarded today to the US

Embassy in Manila!!!! Our Case Number is MNL200857XXXX. Things are really moving faster now!!
